Why does everyone deny it?
Before anyone comes up with the unoriginal rebuttal, I'll be quick to answer: no it isn't healthy. And people who do it still experience prostate problems later on in life.
Today's society is based on mass consumption, greed and the thought of "If it isn't fun, don't do it."
Why don't people stop for a moment and pose the following questions: "Why am I here? What is my role in life?"
I advise you to take a couple of seconds of your time and realize your position in life. Do you ever question yourself on these things or are you too brainwashed by society? I will leave this moment of reflexion to you and below, I will post some facts, including a passage from the very Bible.

The verses read: "And if any man's seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even. And every garment, and every skin, whereon is the seed of copulation, shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the even[ing]."
Verses 16 and 17 refer to a man's ejaculation but does not contain a reference to a sexual partner. This is interpreted by some as referring to ejaculation resulting from masturbation while the man is alone.

Also, acne is a CAUSE of masturbation. Excess oil production, sensitivity of the skin and sebum production causes Acne. Masturbation (orgasm) releases DHT, a hormone which is known for its inflammation properties.

I've done exhaustive research on this matter and my conclusions differ from yours. I do not have acne. I save lots of money on dates. I tickle myself with good conversation. The only real problems seem to be 1) I go through Gun Oil like crazy and 2) I'm damned to Dante's second circle of hell. I'm hoping to have that one covered through the purchase of massive amounts of indulgences. Where are the Medici when you really need them?

Are you serious? First, if you'd cite some sources for your scientific information, then I might find some credibility in what you say.
However, since you brought religion into it, I definitely can't take you seriously. Don't bring religion into an argument that you're also using science in; the two aren't meant to work together.
Also, what relevance does "Why am I here" have to masturbation? Do you stop and ponder the meaning of life while you're eating a bowl of cereal? How about when you're playing video games? Those are normal activities too, why should this be any different?
When it comes to brainwashing, consider looking at Christianity before you start criticizing people who masturbate.
Masturbating may have detrimental effects on my health, but I've never seen them; however, I do recall hurting my knees once when I was pretending to pray.

The only health problem which is caused by masturbation is a loss of sensitivity which can lead to problems gaining an erection. This normally only happens with extremely frequent or excessively rough masturbation. Excessive masturbation can also cause a drop in sperm count but this is a temporary condition not a permanent health problem.
Large numbers of men who masturbate do not experience prostate problems so can you provide evidence for your claim.
You also seem to be unaware that women masturbate or do you think that they get prostate problems too.

Anything done too often can have detrimental effects on health. Like eating: we need to eat but to starve to death is to die or to eat to much is gluttony and causes obesity and all kinds of health problems. Jesus praying in the garden, His sweat became as drops of blood. I have heard a man prayed so hard and so long his heart moved, and I think the preacher said he had heart attack.
I believe the marriage bed is pure and undefiled and we should not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings.
Is a man not to touch his wife or his wife not to touch her husband when he wants her to? We refrain from sex when fasting and with consent lest the devil tempt us.
These verses are when the seed is spilled and in the OT law days. Even Jesus did a miracle on the Sabbath and there are other places where we are not bound by the law.
I do not see where these OT verses are specifically against mutual masturbation by man and wife, but that they are like the man who urinates needs to wash his unclean hands, if he pees elsewhere it is not clean (but some people say urine is clean). The Onan story is about he was supposed to give her a child as was the custom. He did her wrong. Read about Tamara and Judah too.
Any sex outside marriage is sin. Even just to look to lust is sin, adultery. But in the marriage, the man is supposed to be with his wife--it is better to marry than to burn.
So is menstrual cycle sin because she is impure and not clean? No. It is something God made the woman to do. It is a function He made her with. It is not sin. A man having wet dreams, and men and women urinating, and woman pleasing her husband by touching him is not sin. His seed does not just jump through pants and do its duty without help. It may be unclean and sloppy but not sin. Women should fulfill their wifely duties, or else why be married.
I used to wonder about this, but a man cannot procreate by keeping his pants on and his hands off his zipper.

Detrimental to your health ... as in "if you don't stop that, you'll go blind!" --??
Is that what it says in the "very Bible". What does that mean? the VERY Bible.
I'm really not trying to be disrespectful, but when will you come to the understanding that all people do not believe in and live by the Bible? There *are* other religious texts out there and those who follow those texts feel just as strongly as you do about the Bible. There are also many who do not believe in religion of any kind. Why do you feel it necessary to preach and convince others that your thinking and your behavior is the only way?
Now ... what was the question? Why does everyone deny it. Obviously not *everyone* does.

If masturbation was harmful, we'd all be blind with hairy palms.
As a side note, frequent orgasms in an expectant female release a hormone called oxytocin (same thing is used synthetically to induce labor). The release of oxytocin "primes" the uterus, and is said to make labor easier. I made sure I orgasmed at least once a day (alone and with a partner) during my last pregnancy. I was rewarded with a 3-hour labor. I don't know that the frequent orgasms were responsible for this, but they didn't hurt, and 3 hours of labor sure beat the 24 hours I had with my first child.

Actually, masturbation can actually help cure acne. Semen is especially good for acne since it can dry out your skin some.
The only health problem with masturbation, for males at least, is that they ejaculate less the more often they do it. However, that is balanced by the fact that their sperm is far healthier if they ejaculate often. The ideal amount is about once or twice a week.

Maybe you should talk to a doctor. Seriously. Having this sort of confusion about the human body is not healthy.
And let's talk about Onan for a moment. If you read the story, he goes to lie with his brother's widow, which is commanded in the bible. However, he didn't want to get her pregnant, so he pulls out of her during sex and releases his seed onto the ground. This is nothing at all to do with masturbation.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I must remove my pants.

This sounds like a troll, but I'll bite...
In fact prostate conditions can be AVOIDED by frequent orgasms. It's what the prostate's for. Masturbation is perfect for it, along with plenty of cooked tomato products.
Orgasm is also good for the heart, blood pressure and insomnia. To aid concentration and to avoid depressive symptoms, however, it is better to achieve orgasm through regular penetrative intercourse. Both sexes. Enjoy!
