yes it is true that that happens. but after a while it will start again. depending on your activity. stick the tampon real far up (not so far you loose it though, lol) just make sure it's in there... then check on it every 30-45 mins. it'll be fine. also, have a friend next to you and say, "i put a tampon in, if there's anything weird or i start leaking, tell me".... then you have 3 safety type precatutions... the tampons will be fine, don't worry.

I would hate you to have a very embarrassing moment. You'll have to find a way to be comfortable with tampons. Thats the only way you will avoid it. You can use the lite days tampon. Tampax pearl, has a light days tampon and they are half the size of other tampons. Maybe that would help a little bit.
good luck.

Most womens flow slows down in the water but it may not stop. You do not HAVE to wear a tampon in the water but if you decide not to wear a tampon please do not wear a pad (I hope that is common sense) Have you tried the slender tampons? they are very easy to use for beginners, don't ruin a summer full of swimming and fun because of your period!

No water doesn't stop the flow and you will be rather embarressed if you get out of the pool with a pad that is soaked like a wet diaper in your suit. Try the light flow tampons first they are the lesser uncomfortable style.

sweetie your flow wont stop while in the water. you will run the risk of bleeding in the pool. either wear a tampon or dont go swimming. if you go in with no protection as soon as you come out of the water you will be bleeding right down your legs dont embarrass yourself. use the ultra thin utlra lite tampons and take a bunch in your bag too

It won't stop and you will be one embarrased young lady! If you don't like tampons, you could try the small teen ones from Tampax or O.B's. You don't really have a choice...Sorry. Tampons are safe and they can't get lost in you, tampons do not affect Virginity either ( You do not loose your Virginity if you use a tampon )... Just remember to change it every 6 hours and you will be okay.

You either HAVE to use a tampon, or you don't go swimming.

If you go swimming without a tampon in, you will be one humiliated girl when you get out of the water and have everyone see blood trickle down your legs.

It does not provide up, the water tension merely does not enable the blood to bypass downward freely. comparable to what happens interior the tub in case you're taking a tub on an identical time as on your era. yet to be on the risk-free side- by fact each and every of the era desires is a few tension like a cough or sneeze- you could placed on a tampon.

You would be wise to move past your fear/hesitation with tampons. If you cannot, then do not go swimming unless you are willing to risk some major embarassment, not to mention that sanitary issues for others using the same pool.
