what are your thoughts on this passage
To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write:
I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars—I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you.

The churches then are types for us today. Remember John was taken to the" LORD's Day"( Rev 1:10) and shown things.
Philly was one of the "two churches" Christ found no fault with.
The subject of the seven churches is their "Works". The object is to "Overcome".
The church of Smyrna and Philly teach the same thing.
Rev 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
Rev 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie;
These two Church's teach who Satan's children(tares,kenites) are. They say they are of the tribe of Judah but are not and do lie. They claim to be GOD's choosen people, trying to seal the birthright for themselves. But there are 12 tribes of Israel.
Jhn 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Who was the first murder? Cain, who was Satan's offspring.
Mat 13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
Mat 13:39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
Mat 13:40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

The Church in Philadelphia is actually an era of a church.
If you read the history of The World Wide Church of God and The United Church of God this is the church that they are speaking about in the book of Revelations. The different "churches" that are mentioned are actually different "eras" in the church's history.
