Is it a glitch? The default for my eclipse gsx is single cd and I forgot to uncheck it and choose mp3 cd and I noticed my value actually decreased about $100 bucks... I retried again several times and the prices just stay the same. It definately decreases when I choose mp3 cd instead of regular cd.

Their information is based on many factors. It is possible that the standard MP3 CD is actually an inexpensive one and that the Single CD player is a more high end model. It could also be due to resale value based on previous sales. If they notice a trend that all vehicles with MP3 CD players sell at a lower price than vehicles with regular CD players then they would adjust their calculator accordingly.

another possibility is that because you took out the original player and replaced it with something else, you took away from the original value of the car. Silly, but true. People can look at that as unneeded work on a car and the more times hands touch something, the lesser in value it gets. The answers above me make sense too.

I thought that there prices were based on actual retail values. It could be that cars with MP3 audio may be selected by younger drivers that drive their cars harder and have less maintenance.

Either that or it is an actual glitch in the program. Good luck.
