I am downloading spiderman 3 and i have 13 seeds. My firewall is turned off. I tried to open my port (not sure if i did. www.portfoward.com didn't work i dont have the newer version of firewall. I tried to do it at the control panel not sure if it worked) tHis is my first download from utorrent. I am downloading spiderman 3 from http://www.podtropolis.com
It is downloading on an average of 6kb/s and it says it will take days!
Any help please

Personally, I would not turn off firewall or antivirus -- but if you must, to download - I sure would run them immediately after saving the download.
It seems so many users are not aware how games (graphics) consume memory. To increase and maintain speed, you might try to free up as much RAM as possible:
- set wallpaper and screensaver to blank or none.
- run Disk Cleanup, Scandisk, Defrag (every 2 weeks)
- review startup menu - remove anything you don't need daily
- from IE - Tools, Options - delete cookies, delete files (offline), clear history, days to store history 0.
See if this doesn't help.

I just did this and mine downloaded at like 89kb/s, (it was not worth it. It sucked) but then I went to download something else, and it slowed right down, it may be that the people who are seeding it have very low limitations on their upload speeds.
