well don't leave her alone just roaming around. Use a kennel or something. The dog doesn't know where else to go if she is free to walk wherever. Get her a kennel and place her in there during the day.

Well, you probably should've though about this 3 years ago.

You will have to crate or kennel train the dog because the dog can't be alone in the house.

Every time you let your dog out, go to a potty spot outside and DON'T LEAVE THE AREA until doggie has gone. Make a big fantastic deal out of it when it does.

Consistency is the key.

However, since your dog is already 3 years old, you may make your neighbors angry if the dog howls in the kennel all day.

You may want to enlist the help of a trainer.

I know this is going to sound mean, but it will work. If you don't already have one, go and buy a pet porter or crate just big enough for the dog to stand up in and fit end to end. Start putting the dog in the crate at night and while you are gone during the day. I gaurantee when you come home, the dog will be ready to go out and do her business and she won't or should not go in the bed because dogs won't usually go where they sleep. I raised Boston Terriers for 10 years and in 10 years I only had a handful of accidents and they were not that bad. It will work. Just make sure to take her out before you leave every morning and 1st thing when you get home. No food in the bed, just water.

I think the root of the problem is seperation anxiety.

When the dog poops in the house pick it up (spray the area with Lysol) Bring the poop outside and put it in the dirt. Take the dog outside where you want him to poop and put his nose in it and say "good boy"

If you feed your dog once a day, wait to feed after you get home. First give the dog a short walk before feeding.
Let the dog eat. About five minutes after eating take the dog for another walk. This will establish a routien of pooping. Eventually your dog will go along with the routien.

Buy some of those pee pads that are made for dogs, I keep one in the bathroom for my dog so if I am gone too long he will pee there. My dog hates to be home alone too. What I have done is that when I am gone I leave the TV on so he has background noise. I leave out lots of chews and toys for him.
I prop up some pillows up on the couch. And put one of his blankets there. and leave the blinds open. He loves to sit there and watch outside. He is usually watching for me when I get home and he greets me at the door.

Do you have a garage or outside area to leave the dog while you are gone? You definatly shouldn't put up with the pooping and peeing in the house.

She needs lots of praise when she poops and pees outside. And she needs to hear a stern NO from you when you hold her nose in her pee or poop. Don't punish too much. Just let her know that you are displeased. And give her lots of praise and love while you are at home.

Your dog may be sufferring from seperation anxiety. Seriously dogs experience it too, even if they are not new to the home. Schedule a time for morning feedings and try to keep that time up. After feeding take the dog outside for a walk and to relieve themselves. Once your dog is back inside he should be relaxed and okay to be home alone for a few hours. To help curve anxiety over the day, i suggest a doggie door so he can go outside and run around for a while. If that option is not possible try chew toys or crate training.

If nothing helps the anxiety try obedience training. Your dog might be trying to get attention oris just being defiant

The crate training is a physically powerful element. If the create is sufficiently huge for her to stand up and turn approximately then she would manage to stay in it for some hours. I agree that too long isn't stable for them. As to the pooping in the abode subject. This sounds very lots emotional subject to me. replaced into your mom the only which delivered her abode? if so then the dogs overly p.c. out along with her. No constantly a undesirable element....purchase a KNOG toy, fill it with peanut butter or VERY small dogs treats and basically GIVER IT TO HER once you mom is going out and the dogs is abode on my own! by way of doing this, you will tutor the dogs to look forward on your mom going out because of the fact that she would manage to basically get THIS toy from mom whilst she is going out. The dogs will supply up questioning of undesirable stuff whilst she leaves and could seem forward to the particular manage in a favorable way. this would nicely be a sort of conditioning. form of like Pavlov's dogs. it might help to stroll her in basic terms till now mom leaves to grant her the possibility to "empty her tanks" form of talk. it might additionally help to purchase some toddler gates and save her limited to a piece with a tile floor jointly as you're long gone.

Crate her / crate training.
They don't like to soil their personal space.

Always put her in the crate when you leave the house.
