Some prayers may take forever for someone to realize that it had been answered a long time ago. A word "no" is also an answer. And there are times, when both yes and no is nowhere to be heard or found, it means that you are the one who can solve your problem.
If you believe in Reincarnation, there is an answer to some questions why a person could sometimes be so lucky that even without uttering a word, his prayers is already answered. Those are prayers of an Old soul who is embodied in another body that had been answered previously but was late when it came.

When you trust someone you ask him once.....if you`ve asked him for 20 years it`s because you`ve doubted for 20 years he was listening. That is not faith.
