Okay so actually facts can be proven to be true or false but why is it that some people preach about religion like they know it's the right way to live life? NOT ALL BUT SOME people say that their religion is the right way to live and they act like everything in the bible actually happened and get pissed when you question it. Some people don't even look at it as faith, some say it like it's the complete truth that can't be proven to be false. So for the people who this applies to, can't you just admit that none of this is for sure but that it's just good to have faith or something to believe in to keep you going? Can't you just admit that maybe we're wasting our time but that it's just better to be safe than sorry?

By the way I do belong to a religion(catholic) but just dont take it that seriously. Once again, dont say you know, just admit you believe. Believing and knowing are two similar yet different things.

It is fact whether you like hearing it or not or believe it or not.
Why can't you admit you are just wasting our time with this kind of drivel?

The Bible has prophesy after prophesy that has come true. For years people said King David did not exist, but archaeology found King David in stone. The Exodus was not proven until the 20th century. Noah's flood is the most debated issue but we see signs of it all over the world and every culture has a story of the great flood. Thousands of years ago God said He would bring Israel back into their own land and God did this in 1948. And in 1967 they were back in Jerusalem. The Six Day War of Israel against 5 nations and Israel won the war and survived is a miracle. Too many people said they saw Abraham standing up for Israel and miraculous dust storms that got men through mine fields. The Bible even said Israel would return to their homeland on wings of eagles. This was written thousands of years ago and they returned on airplanes. Two thousand years ago if I saw an airplane I would have described it as an eagle.
For Science God said there is a path in the sea, the circle of the earth, and stars as the sands of the sea. Thousands of years before we even knew they existed.
Forget all of that. God said, "my sheep hear my voice." I've heard the voice of God. And when God speaks you don't ever forget what God says. And you yearn and hunger to hear His voice again. The Holy Spirit guides us daily and we call this walking in the Spirit. I ask for an easy parking spot and I get one. I've travelled 160 miles in what seems like 30 minutes singing one Christian song. God can make life so easy and wonderful.
My conscience is captive to the Word of God and I believe it with all my heart, mind, body and soul. I know the TRUTH and the truth has set me free. I have the peace that surpasses all understanding and I do not fear dying. I know absent from the body and present with the Lord.
My faith in God is more real than anything I know.

I see all sorts of people who use the word fact inappropriately - why are you singling out religious people?
What is a fact?
fact:
–noun 1. something that actually exists; reality; truth: Your fears have no basis in fact.
2. something known to exist or to have happened: Space travel is now a fact.
3. a truth known by actual experience or observation; something known to be true: Scientists gather facts about plant growth.
4. something said to be true or supposed to have happened: The facts given by the witness are highly questionable.
5. Law. Often, facts. an actual or alleged event or circumstance, as distinguished from its legal effect or consequence.
So, if you believe in the testimony of someone else, does that make that thing a fact? Do you actually have to witness something for it to be a fact? Does even witnessing something make it a fact? What if you perceived it incorrectly? What is "reality"? What is "truth"? Your reality, or my reality? Do we share a reality?
This word "fact" seems to be a bit odd to me. I think "fact" is a silly word.
Why does the definition I got on dictionary.com say that "Space Travel is a fact" when people disagree some places and think it is all a government hoax? What percent of the population has to agree on something to make it a fact?

It sounds like you will only accept your own answer. However, some of us do know a faith that is more than blind faith even though you don't believe that. You can always study the law of corredspondences by Swedenborg but it takes self-motivation, the ability to take criticism and some reasoning ability.

I wanted to ask this question. The fact is that you don't need faith in something when you have fact. No one says they have faith that the sun will rise tomorrow. No one says that they have faith that Paris Hilton exist. The fact is that religion is based on ignorance and fear, and certainly not facts, evidence, or logic. Some just can't admit to that, they conclude that they have proof for their beliefs.

what are you trying to say?
Maybe if you could clarify a thought and write a coherent sentence, people would understand you.
