No, but then I've never been interested in being the popular type anyhow. Once past a certain age these things don't mean as much as they used to, and what you do, you do with personal intent.
Of course, that could be seen as whinging after the fact; I'll leave that to others to decide.

I both drink and smoke (the smoking I regret). You shouldn't do something because you think it'll make you popular. Believe it or not, it's really not a big deal to anyone whether you do it not. If anyone's trying to force you into it, they're bad news. I'm not going guidance counselor here. I'm 22 and just out of college. I had my fun and so long as you're responsible about things you'll be okay. I also have a tattoo and I can promise you that one of the WORST reasons to get a tattoo is to be noticed. Tattoos are choices you make and you do them for yourself or someone you care/cared deeply for.
If you are to get a tattoo, I recommend not getting any names or words because your feeling WILL change and possibly not in the same direction of thought. If it's a symbol to you, it can evolve with you.
And removal is very expensive and doesn't take it off all the way.

Well I got my first tat because I kept drawing on myself and my mom thought I would get it out my system boy was she wrong. I wear a tat to represent me on the outside when you see my tats my heart, soul, pain and love is their in a story.
Most people get a tattoo not to be cool! the best tat's have a story behind them not a little story but a life story. If you get a tat it should be something about you. For example I have a black panther on my left arm this represents the hell and pain I went through as a child from an abusive Father I also had dreams as a child where a black panther would try and kill me and I had to hide I could never defeat him in my dream the only way I would survive was to be smarter and hide from him. Another example for a tat is on my right arm and it's a Koi fish with flowers and water it represents a point in my life where I have decided to take no more **** from anyone even those I love never again .. koi is Japanese for carp and in japan the strongest Koi make it up a waterfall called the Dragons tail and only the strongest make it up which represents strength and power ...
I hope this is not to deep and you get the point ..... only get ink if you plan to wear it with pride not to look cool or have something to get someones attention .... I shared a story about my tats they all have meaning they should for you as well

Personally, I feel that a tattoo done so that an individual can be popular is pretty dumb. A tattoo has nothing to do with popularity. Kind of shows alot of desperation as well (which people will def see)...no a tattoo will not make you popular - people will view you the same way that they currently do...a tattoo does not alter that.

I don't think so you should get a Tattoo just to fit in or whatever because some of those people you are trying to fit in wit are sometimes fake and if you get a tattoo just to please them and something happens ur stuck with that tattoo and memories.

No i wouldn't do anything stupid like that..if you don't fit in then you don't fit in..don't do something that u will regret in later life..u don't need a tattoo..its there for life..only drink when you want to again not just to fit in..i would advice u not to smoke to fit in because it isn't healthy nore worth it..il be myself and if people don't like me for me then they are not worth been my friends

NEVER listen to other people, it's just gonna ruin your life. Be happy for who you are and if your friends ask you things like that don't do it. Find real true friends who love you for who you really are inside and don't really worry about the outside.

nope. the most important thing in this situation is to address why you feel you need to be noticed. most likely, this is because you are lonely, and you should be dealing with that rather than deciding to get or not get a tattoo.

I wouldn't get a taoo to get noticed! that is the wroung way 2 get attention. U want people to notice u for u not because you have this big dragon tatoo on your arm.
If u do get a tatoo get a small one and not because u want to be noticed!

It's this way. Your unpopularity is a temporary condition, tattoos are forever.
Please try to come up with another solution. Just being yourself is often the best way to become popular.
