(Genesis 2:19, NWT) [Jehovah] began bringing [animals] to the man to see what he would call each one

Here are some alternate translations:
NASB: LORD God … brought them to the man to see what he would call them
GWT: The LORD …brought them to the man to see what he would call them.
KJV: LORD God … brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them
ASV: Jehovah God … brought them unto the man to see what he would call them
BBE: Lord God … took them to the man to see what names he would give them
DBY: Jehovah Elohim … brought them to Man, to see what he would call them
JPS: LORD God … brought them unto the man to see what he would call them
WBS: LORD God … brought them to Adam to see what he would call them
WEB: Yahweh God … brought them to the man to see what he would call them.
YLT: Jehovah God …bringeth in unto the man, to see what he doth call it

Jehovah's Witnesses refuse to describe God as "omniscient" simply because they believe that God intentionally and occasionally limits his own knowledge and foreknowledge for his own purposes. In the verse above, the purpose seems to be God's simple pleasure in watching Adam work out this assignment.

1st we don't teach what you are implying.
Just because Jehovah can do something, doesn't mean He always does.

(Genesis 22:10-12) . . .. 11 But Jehovah’s angel began calling to him out of the heavens and saying: “Abraham, Abraham!” to which he answered: “Here I am!” 12 And he went on to say: “Do not put out your hand against the boy and do not do anything at all to him, for now I do know that you are God-fearing in that you have not withheld your son, your only one, from me.”

Jehovah waited to see what Abraham would actually do.

"Now I do know"

If Jehovah choosed to know everything in advanced, then the pain and suffering we are experiencing today, would be His fault.

Because when he made Adam and Eve, then he would have known they would have sinned and He did nothing to prevent it.

If he had choosen to know that Adam and Eve were going to sin, then he would have known they were not created with free will.

I enjoyed the illustration, just because a person call lift 500 lbs. it doesn't mean that is all that person does.

Yahweh IS all knowing. I am not a JW but I like to share. I am reading the NIV Holy Bible and is in the Book of Ezekial. I'm almost done with the Old Testament! I am anxious to get in the New. Reading the Old Testament I can surely tell you in truth that Yahweh (God) is extremely STRICT! To go against His laws especially the False Idols Worshipper's that punishment is Death! There is a lot of sins done in the Old Bible days that punishment from God was DEATH itself! If you obey Him and not worship false Gods then your reward is Blessings upon Blessings! Wow there is very heavy duty stuff in the Old Testament. Truthfully is can scare a person. But I'm enjoying it and I have to be fair also to say that there are beautiful TRUE stories in the OT too. Reading the Bible is addictive and it surely makes a person to really think hard on what is important in their life. I am blessed that Yahweh gives me that opportunity. Amen and Amen
Love and Peace to Brotherhood.

But He is omnisient--as He wants to be. Just because Jehovah CAN do anything also means He doesn't have to do everything. Knowing the future, knowing the hearts and thoughts of men, power to accomplish anything He thinks of, YEP! He can.

Not always using that power--priceless. He could know every move each of us will make; but. that would make the gift of being free moral agents useless. Jehovah makes sure we know what He expects from us. It is up to us to choose our course in life.

That was the basis of Satan's challenge to Jehovah...Man only worships Jehovah for what they can get. If they have the choice they would not serve Jehovah. That is what the last 6,000 years have been about.

Jehovah can know anything he chooses to know. On the other hand, Jesus' knowledge is limited. When Jesus gave his prophecy about the end of this system of things, he stated: "But of that day or that hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." (Mark 13:32, RS, Catholic edition) Had Jesus been the equal Son part of a Godhead, he would have known what the Father knows. But Jesus did not know, for he was not equal to God.

Similarly, we read at Hebrews 5:8 that Jesus "learned obedience from the things he suffered." Can we imagine that God had to learn anything? No, but Jesus did, for he did not know everything that God knew. And he had to learn something that God never needs to learn—obedience. God never has to obey anyone.

The difference between what God knows and what Christ knows also existed when Jesus was resurrected to heaven to be with God. Note the first words of the last book of the Bible: "The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him." (Revelation 1:1, RS, Catholic edition) If Jesus himself were part of a Godhead, would he have to be given a revelation by another part of the Godhead—God? Surely he would have known all about it, for God knew. But Jesus did not know, for he was not God.

JWs belive in the entire bible and any bible.

Omniscience is the capacity to know everything infinitely, or at least everything that can be known about a character including thoughts, feelings, life and the universe,

Matthew 6:8
For your Heavenly Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.

Acts 15:18
Known to God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

Psalm 147:4,5
He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names. Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.

Absolutely none!!!! And they would offer none for they know that our Creator is the only source of all knowledge.

Here is an article that may help clarify what our Creator is, entitled "Who Is God?" You will find it right here.

Please enjoy the article and the truth the Bible really teaches!

why do you single out JWs?
and beside that, from my study of them they *DO* believe that God *IS* omnicient, so why are you trying to make it look like they believe something else?!?

I'm sure that all *true* Christians know that YHWH/Jehovah has given us free will and that the Bible clearly shows that some have surprised Him in the way that they have chosen to use their free will. The Bible has so many accounts of God asking people what have they done and why.

so, while it is true that YHWH/Jehovah is all-knowing and can "CAUSE TO BECOME"/make the future what He wishes, and He knows everything that is currently being done and felt by every human at once; He also allows everyone to choose what they do from moment to moment. To say that He knows everything that every human will do in the future is to agree with predestination and that we humans can not choose to be good or bad because its all predetermined; but that is not the case. YHWH/Jehovah does not pre-determine people to do bad things!

agape!

God knows all .... sees all and can do all. He uses as his messengers angels to carry out his will. The foremost angel that does his bidding is Jesus..or Michael as he was called in heaven.

God is arranging for a culmination of this system of things. Are you ready?

I'm sure they have no proofs whatsoever. If they try to prove it from the Bible, then be assured that they are twisting the true doctrine.
