Ok, to start with Im 29 and pregnant with my 5th baby. Ive always had a little knot on my left breast in the front towards the middle that would seem to come and go, well I had it checked by my O.B and they sent me today to have a ultra sound, well they said it didnt look like a cyst cause it didnt have any fluid in it so they are ordering a Bio. on Monday to draw I guess tissue and test it.
Im so scared that it is going to be cancer since that wasnt happy with the findings on the ultra sound, when they order a bio. does that mean there is a stonger chance of it being cancer?
This thing has never grown, but it must look alarming to order a Bio. right?
Im just so affraid of dying and not being with my kids. They said it looked more oval with ridges and he named a certain type of tumor that it probley was that would be a bening one, but the tech said he would still recomend the biopsey.
If anyone has had this type of result please respond.

Okay hon, please, I know its not easy, but just try not to worry, okay?

I had bc 2x, in 02 & 03. I am doing fine now (well I had scans yesterdya, but I am pretty sure they will be fine)
Okay, my first time i had bc, my hubby found the tumor.I went to my dr, and he said he wanted a biopsy, I had one and the dr who did that did not have a good bedside manner. He said "its 50/ 50"..oh geesh, thanks.
So I waited till the end of the week. Unfort it was cancer.
I am NOT saying you have cancer, this is just my story.

I just want you to know, IF it is cancer..please be calm. I am living proof that I you don't have to die when you have cancer. Please, please...just take care of yourself..
I will keep you in my prayers.

Please keep us posted

God Bless

I know somebody who has had breast cancer, and this is the best advice I can give you:

What they've organised for you is a needle biopsy. It's not the best thing for you to do - far better to have the entire bump removed and tested. Needle biopsies can come back negative - even when they're not.

Tell your specialist you want the actual lump itself taken out - insist!

You could also ask for an MRI. This is a much more sensitive test than either ultrasound or mammogram, and they could do this first, so as to get a clearer idea of what, if anything, is wrong.

You're doing the right thing in getting help. Worse case scenario, if it is breast cancer - it can be cured if caught early!

In the event that there is a problem, make sure you see a specialist breast cancer surgeon, not just a general surgeon - that's crucial.

Also: if you are colouring your hair at all, stop! Hair dye has been linked to breast cancer.

Best of luck.

Hi, I've been there and done all this 3 years ago. A needle biopsy is a relatively simple procedure. They will numb the site, and take a few samples, using ultrasound to guide the biopsy needle to the correct place. It will sound like a nail gun and you may feel a little pressure. You should get the results back a few days later, unless it's just before a holiday weekend, which for me was difficult to wait longer for the results. Do you remember what the tech said it looked like? There are several types of breast tumors, (malignant and non malignant).

If you want to talk to someone, please contact me.
