You will be seen instantly as a bad person. Even if you don't believe in them, a swastika invokes the recollection of powerful hateful ideas that caused harm and death for millions over the years. Wearing one, especially in the permanency that is a tattoo, infers to others that you believe in those ideas. Find a picture of something else, and get a good tattoo artist to render it for you. Your infatuation with the linear look of the symbol will wane, but others' judgments of you will stay the same. If anything, that rendition of the design will be seen as a camouflaged way to display a hateful symbol.

When I was a young male, I bought an incense burner at a yard sale. It was a Buddha on a pedestal which was trimmed with tiny swastikas. I bought it because, in my ignorance, I found it highly amusing. Since then I have learned that this ancient symbol has been found all over the world. Even the Navajo used it to symbolize the powers of the four directions.

I think that if I saw another minority with a swastika on them...I would laugh and think that they were pretty ignorant and stupid - especially being a minority...are you aware of Hitler's beliefs and such? You would be tattooing something on yourself that represents someone or a belief that hates you for very narrow minded and not well educated beliefs.

That's also a good way to get yourself jumped.

No, this is not normal. It is entirely offensive. You will be constantly gettin' your *** kicked. Can I just state this- Hitler was a hypocritical coward who flunked out of art school. The reversed (good luck) swastika as a tat is not a good idea either- the swas as a symbol is just too ingrained into our brains as a symbol of hate and intolerance that the good swas will be associated to most people as the evil swas...(i.e. when I view an image of the good swas, I immediately always think of Hitler). Tell Hitler's illegitimate kids that I said, "Your daddy's a loser!"

Get what you feel! I'm not sure why Hitler appeals to you but lol yeah get what you feel. I have a white friend that got a Black Panther Fist tattooed on her shoulder and her chest. BUT BE CAUTIOUS!!!!! Even though this is America.. there are still people that will fight or even kill people all because of how they express themselves :( . So if you decide to get that, make sure it's easy to cover with clothing.

I most definitely don't think your family being Mexican would approve of you getting such a foolish tat. Think before you ink. Tats are not to be taken lightly, they are PERMANENT!! Hitler was a disturbed man who lived way back when! Get real dude, it's 2007, Hitler is nobody to be proud of. I was born in Frankfurt Germany and I'm not impressed by his ways. Please don't disgrace your blood by idolizing some freak who would have killed you to.

I think you SHOULD get it.. and get your @$$ kicked for it. You will be showing off your stupidity. Hitler was an abomination, and so is a swastika. Go ahead and get one... but don't whine when you get jumped.

get whatever you like, but be fully aware of getting something that will offend most people who see it. they'll automatically judge you as a racist, a skin-head, or just a dick. it will probably cause a lot of troubles with family, friends, and jobs. it's not a symbol that's taken lightly. so be careful and don't do it just for attention.
