I'm not Kirk's brand of Christian, but I feel sorry for him having the debate partner he had. It was a one man show concerning the Christian's side. I thought the show and it's host leaned toward the athiest making the debate unfair. What were your thoughts for those who watched it?

It was hard to watch because everyone involved was inept at stating any case at all. I felt pity and I hate to pity people. This is a sad thing if this is what passes for intellectual discussion in America.

An empty 80's teen star debating an empty soul, who married someone who was Greek Orthodox (if we're talking about Hitchens) and decided that atheism was the "least" common denominator in terms of avoiding the hard questions. It is easier to say that God does not exist than to say "Christ is Risen" as the Orthodox proclaim for 40 days after Easter Sunday.

The "Way of the Master" is not the proper way. Kirk Cameron has not drunk from the same cup nor ate the same flesh that Jesus did or even carried his own cross. I appreciate that Cameron is a born again Christian but he and his partner have a lot of work remaining to find the "true" way of the Master.

Sorry, I did not see it...but anyone going on one of the three major networks debating Christianity should expect an atheistic leaning...I guess he had guts just to try and get the message out..In everything I have seen of him so far, I am proud of the way Kirk represents us..and proud of him for taking a stand in a business that defiantly leans towards secularism.

I think that it was a Jerry Springer style debate with reasonably informed people who hardly qualify as experts. Kirk and Ray got a massive amount of presentation time, and the best they could come up with was a can of Coke (original formula) and a print of the Mona Lisa. It was a feeble argument from design approach, and the last nail in the coffin was crocoduck.

The host is a Christian but he was rough on Kirk and Ray at one time. Kirk and Ray did a wonderful job. They raised God's name before a giant audience. What a golden opportunity to witness for the Lord and Ray Comfort is an excellent soul winner.

My prayers go out for Kirk and Ray that they will continually be able to do this witnessing for our Lord. They did nothing to be ashamed of by lifting our Lord's name on high. The atheist can't prove anything. We have nothing to fear by debating them.

Good job Kirk and Ray!!!

The host leaned towards the ATHEISTS??

Uh... no.

That moderator was pissing me off. He was like "hurry up, Kelly, hurry up, we don't have time for this", and then when she made a really really valid, important, factual point about evolution, then he suddenly finds time for the other side to toss in it's view. B.S.!!! There's not enough time for her to clear up all the crap that Kirk tried to get us to buy into, but there was CERTAINLY enough time for Kirk to REITERATE the crap.

DAMNIT, that was sleezy. I thought the moderator was supposed to "not take sides". By allowing the anti-evolution side extra time that seconds before he said he didn't really have for Kelly, he revealed his bias. He even ENCOURAGED Kirk to ramble on and on with his inane beach messages. WHAT IS THAT???

My thought was that it was a waste of everyone's time.

You can't put on a good debate and just show the highlights ... then expect people to get something out of it. I didn't hear one single thing on either side that I hadn't heard before right here on R&S

As Kirk's brand of Christian, I'm ashamed of him. If that's the best God could put out there for a debate, then I'm going to convert to Atheism. All Kirk did was help the Atheists. Disgusting.

About the only thing I watch on network TV is House so I have no idea what all of you are talking about. But if it was up to the usual standards of Network TV, I seriously doubt I missed much.

The host is Martin Bashir, a devout Christian.

The bottom line is that the theists lost because they didn't, and don't, have a case.
