Interesting how nearly everyone immediately discussed the 2 major parties in the US. There was no discussion about the Libertarian Party, the Green Party, or any other third party.

As for the one that told me I should do my own research, I have no reason to do research. I just wanted to see what answers I would receive.

All of the formally recognized political parties in the US have equal respect for freedom. They each differ in how they want to preserve that freedom. In addition, each party has a different agenda as to what our economic and educational priorities should be, among other important goals.

Neither! We are supposed to be a Republic not a Democracy and yet we achieve neither. We are however moving at breakneck speed toward Socialism. Both parties support the government knowing more about how to live your life than you do and if you don't agree you are not a team player, ie "Un-American". Well, screw me, I thought America was about the individual. I thought being free meant living my own life the way I see fit as long as it did not infringe upon another individual. They don't have to like it, that's not the point, they just cannot be infringed upon by it. Perhaps I ask too much. If you commit a crime today you receive an automatic life sentence. That's right, LIFE! It's called your criminal record and no matter how much they talk about "repaying your debt to society" it won't ever be repaid. Don't believe me? Try to get a job after committing a felony. You served your time, your probation, paid all your fines, and kept out of trouble. Now you want to be a productive member of society again, right? Forget it! No one wants to hire the felon. So what kind of choices are we giving that person? none! In fact we have set this person up for immediate failure!
I'm sure rejection after rejection is gonna help their attitude on re-adjusting a whole lot. Think about it. How stupid are we? Plenty! Freedom, individual and state rights? We hand them over to the federal government like we have an endless supply. Our Fore Fathers would weep! How stupid are we, again? Think about it!

The Democratic Party. It is the more liberal of the two parties today. Liberals believe people should have the freedom to make their own social decisions instead of having people restrict freedoms based on their conservative interpretation of christianity. Today it's opposition to gay marriage, abortion, and the right to die (for the terminally ill). Yesterday, it was opposition to interracial marriage, in vitro fertilization, birth control pills, women's rights, and abolition of slavery.

There were actual christians using the Bible to support slavery in the South. That's just one more reason to keep religion out of the government.

What makes you think that either of the two major American Political Parties is more respectful of freedom than the other. I believe they are equally respectful of freedom. Their methods and general philosophies may differ slightly but both are committed to freedom and liberty. To even think otherwise brings into question one's motive for asking.
