Ok, my computer would get this blue screen and say a bunch of junk then i would have to turn it off. And when I'd start my computer up again it would find the solution and the problem was my spy ware. (spy sweeper by webroot) And to fix it, it said i would have to run the automatic updates option so I did. It has been doing this for a long time but i would be like every few days so I didnt pay much attetion to it. But today, it kept getting that blue screen and I would only have a few normal mintues on the computer. So I quickly uninstalled. Does any one know what is up? (i dont like being on the internet with out spy ware and i have a windows vista home edtion)

If your getting a blue screen error it could be caused by many things. You might want to include the STOP error code and any mentioned files in the error in your question.

As for Spyware, you don't want it. You need anti-spyware, which Vista comes with already. It's called Windows Defender.

The last sentence expalins everyting.

Vista does not play well with others, and most 3rd party vendors have not yet made their software fully comatable...or had a reasonable chance to! Instructions based in XP version of Windows will not be understood by Vista.

Finally...Vista Home sucks. It does not support *anything* beyond itself. Spend some cash to upgrade to the "superior" Home or either of the two "professional" versions. Once you've done that, your problems may go away.

The "Blue Screen of Death" is your computer's way of saying that there is a fundamentally wrong thing happening, and in this case, it is a computer program speaking Latin, when the OS is unilingual with English only.

do not confuse spyware software with virus software. the best way to get rid of spyware is to just delete your cookies often. if you are getting "the blue screen of death" i suggest running a virus scan. i never had much luck with Norton or Mcaffee and have found the AVG free addition works a lot better.

you may have to do a system restore but run a virus scan 1st.

SpyBot Search & Destroy. I wouldn't be without it.
