There really isn't much you can do other than to cry in your soup. You need to get a backbone, bite the bullet, and just tell them. If you don't then you'll be sad for life. You could have a friend tell them that you like them... but then your friend will likely end up dating them and not you.

Sorry, but no girl is going to want to date a coward. You have to find the courage and ask her out. If she says no, then so what? The opinion of just one person doesn't matter.
