It is just me, or is this verse just awsm??
fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

I love "The spirit of the Lord is upon me to preach good news to the poor... to release the captive... and proclaim the year of the Lord's favour" because to me, this is what I see God wants Christians to be working for, and I am passionate about helping the poor.
I also like "faith without works is dead", and [paraphrased] "I was hungry and you did not feed me, naked and you did not clothe me. Whatever you do (or don't do) for the least of these you do (or don't do) to me (Jesus)".
Another fav. verse is "we live by faith not by sight" (somewhere in the bible after the gospels, I forget where) - because when I get depressed about the bad things in the world, and I wonder why God doesn't seem to be changing them, the verse reminds me to remember what I know about God (he is good, loving, powerful, just) and because I know these things I can trust that there is a reason, and God knows what he's doing (even if I don't). One day I believe there will be justice and everything will be made right. Anything I don't understand about God, I remind myself about that verse.

Proverbs 21:30- "There is no wisdom, understanding, or counsel against the Lord."- Because it proves so true in a place like this.
Proverbs 27:20- "Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied"- Look around you. Real close. That's why.

"No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man, and God is faithfull who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able,but with the temptation will provide the way of escape so that you are able to bear it"
1 Corinthians 10:13
It is my favorite cus it constantly reminds me that God is aware ofthe challenges that I am facing and that even though I might not see the way out of the situation, if I search hard enough or if I am attentive to His spirit, He will nudge me to an escape out of that situation. The greatest realisation is that begore He allows that situation to manifest, he had already made a way of escape!!

Psalm 23
"The Lord is my sheperd,I shall not be in want,He makes me lie down in green pastures,He leads me beside quiet waters,He restores my soul.He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake.Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil,for You are with me,Your rod and Your staff,they comfort me.You prepare a table for me in the presence of my enemies.You anoint my head with oil,my cup overflows.Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,and I will dwell in the house of the Lord,forever...

The part where Jesus says that in order to get into heaven you need to give away EVERYTHING.
Looks like nobody is going to enjoy the happy place.
