I want to have my hubby make breakfast and dinner. And go out and spent some time with my friend while daddy deals with the kids. Peace and Quiet for me!

I am not a Mother but a Father but it is the same with Father's day. The best thing you can give your mother is your love. A little gift or flowers are always nice but nothing is a substitute for putting your arms around her and saying from your heart - "I Love You Mum" that will make her a happy woman. Best wishes and I wish you well, Peter

As a Now Empty-Nesting Single Retiree (and I was a Long Term Single Parent) ... here is what I would want for Mother's Day ...

PEACE and QUIET
to be able to SLEEP IN (past 04:30AM in the morning!)
to SIT DOWN and get off my feet
to just have the Adult Children acknowledge how nasty they are (they are very young adults) and the horrible way that they treated me through these teen years ....
