No they are not. Not even remotely. Hell is not supported by the Bible, but by Dante and the Catholic church.

Tthe first answer you cite (see below) is totally true. You can be the nicest person in the world but without faith in Jesus Christ (the onl.y true God) you will NOT be saved and go to heaven.
"but you should know, hells going to be chock full of good loving people. being a nice, loving, giving person isnt enough to enter into heaven."

Well, I don't know about you going there, but I think what they were saying is that there is only one way to get to Heaven and that is through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. You can't get to Heaven because you are nice, or you go door to door witnessing to people, because you go to church on Sunday or just because you don't do any major thing wrong. You have to choose to accept Jesus into your heart and life and ask him to forgive you of the things you do wrong and ask him to lead and guide you, give your life to him. That is how you get to heaven. The Bible explains then that people who choose not to believe or go against God will face the consequence of Hell.

It's because no amount of good or niceness that we could possibly do could get us into Heaven. Only the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ can do that. The Bible says that there isn't a single human being on planet Earth who is righteous, or good enough to get into Heaven. That's why Christ took our punishment for us, so that anyone who grabs ahold of His sacrifice in faith can have the promise of going to Heaven, even if they are sinners. Those who have been "washed in the blood of the Lamb" God no longer sees as sinners, but He sees His Son in them instead.

Justification (salvation and entry into heaven) is not based on any works. It is based on the gift of god (grace) which is give to all who wil accept it. You have to accept it from the giver. That giver is Jesus Christ. Only faith in Him will justify. NOthing you do or don't do will make it. If any man were jusdged according to the law, no man would be justified. Man is given a choice to be judged by the law or by christ. If by the law then romans 3:23 says it all "for ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." if by Christ then eph 2:8-9 says it all "For you are saved by grace through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the free gift of God that no man may boast."

It is completely true!!! You can give your heart out, but until you accept Jesus Christ into your heart and believe He was raised from the dead because He died for your sins, you won't be welcome in Heaven.
The only way in is through the Lord Jesus Christ, not your wallet
Think about it in ratio form (good deeds:sins)
1:999,999,999,999
your sins ALWAYS outweigh your good deeds. So no matter how good you try to be, you're still a human sinner just like everyone else. And that is why Christ took our sins upon Himself when he died for us. You only have to accept Him. (see Romans 10:9)

The conditions for entering Heaven are clear and non ambigous, Accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour. There is no other shortcut or different route!!!! If one has not accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour, then such a person regardless of how nice or good he or she is, is headed to HELL. Simple.

what I think they meant was good works isnt the only thing that gets you to heaven. It is great to be nice and loving but the only way to heaven is asking Jesus to come in your heart repenting of your sins and living the right way.

It is not an issue of who is good and who is bad. For an individual to enter heaven he/she must be born again. He/she must accept Jesus and live for him.

well Nobody can be good enough to warrant going to heaven, and the Bible says that all of our good works are as filthy rags before him.. So if you think that what are called good people on earth, will go to heaven.. You are mistaken. Only people that are saved by grace and washed in the blood of the lamb of God will go to heaven and they go on the merits (goodness) of Christ, not their own.

YES IT IS!!!.......Isn't that great!!......Only those who have accepted God's gift of grace, Jesus Christ, and who are born of the Holy Spirit of God who endure in their faith to the end will become joint heirs with Jesus Christ in the Kingdom of God, in God's Enternal Family. Anybody can be a nice, loving, giving person, but if it's not done in the true Spirit of God, it's all done in vein, and in the end leads to eternal death. There is no eternal life without the Spirit of God in our lives no matter how nice, loving and giving you are........Our world is threatened by overwhelming problems because we have rejected God. God Himself has made this clear over the centuries through His prophets. Under God's inspiration, King David wrote of mankind: "They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none who does good. The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there are any who understand, who seek God. They have all turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there is none who does good, no, not one" (Psalm 14:1-3).
The prophet Jeremiah also noted that humans are largely blinded by the deceit of their own evil motives and intents. "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9).
Humanity separated from God
The prophet Isaiah added: "Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue has muttered perversity. No one calls for justice, nor does any plead for truth. They trust in empty words and speak lies; they conceive evil and bring forth iniquity ...
"Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood; their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. The way of peace they have not known, and there is no justice in their ways; they have made themselves crooked paths; whoever takes that way shall not know peace" (Isaiah 59:1-4, 7, 8).
God's ways are different from man's. "'For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,' says the LORD. 'For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts'" (Isaiah 55:8, 9).
