I think earth is part 'heaven' part 'hell' - Christians are called to bring/build the Kingdom of God on earth (that is, bring Heaven to earth in a sense - God wants us to try and make earth as close as possible to what he and Jesus would want earth to be).
This is all more a manner of speaking - because there is also a 'place' somewhere else called heaven. In the bible (Revelation) this is what it says will happen (according to theologians): when Jesus comes back, he will create a new heaven and a new earth, and heaven will come to earth and they will become one, and the people who Jesus saves will live there.

Dear Steph,

Hell, Heaven and the Earth are three different places. i think before i was saved though i can say that my life on Earth was living in a direction that was hell-bound.

Jesus says that He has gone away to prepare a place for us that where He is we may also be. (That's Heaven). And i often think about the most beautiful things on Earth and know that Heaven will be that much better. Song Writer Keith Green put it like this: God created the Earth in 6 days and God has been preparing a place for us for over 2,000 years, the best that Earth has to offer is like a garbage can compared to Heaven.

That also being said- at times life on Earth can seem "hellacious." This is mainly because of sin- and life sometimes is just difficult. It's a matter of how we live our lives and how we deal with challenges. We can meet these things with God's help and God's perspective or we can dispair and really lose the purpose of what our lives were created for.

Hope that helps. Kindly,

Nickster

Hell is in the Middle of the Earth and it can rise up to meet you.
satan and his OutLaw angels are in, on and above the Earth.

Planet Heaven is where GOD the Father has HIS Throne (right now), the Kingdom of GOD is everywhere (The Parallel Universe) and can be brought into the Earth at times.
It is not here Fully YET!
An Individual (Child of GOD) can get his,her Ducks in a Row and allow the Kingdom of GOD to Operate on this Earth.
You can Relate to this (probably) by what we call Revivals, where the POWER of GOD is Manifested for a short time during the Revivals.
Hope this helps.
Ditto.

Saint Augustine addresses this in his book "City of God" where he lables Heaven as the city of God, and earth as the earthly city.

Earth is comprised of both christian and non-christian living among one another and coexisting. Not until the Day of the Lord will God seperate the wheat from the chaff (christian and nonchristian) and thus seperate the earthly city and having only two places, heaven and hell.

no. Hell is where Hell is, Heaven is where Heaven is. they may not be made of matter, but they are "physical places" designed for souls. well, Hell is for willingly-lost souls, and Heaven is for saved souls in their glorified form.

did I? no. my life wasn't that bad. but it's better now. I don't use Heaven and Hell as metaphors.
