When a person dies the soul takes flight.
The mind of man stays (always) on the planet it doesn't fly with the soul.
There is a planetary mind, it is made up of all the past residents intellect that was accumulated during their sojourn to earth as well as the intellect of the ones sojourning here now.To say the least we have a very large planetary mind. It is the sum total of mans knowledge or better known as the intellect of man.
It is possible to tap into this warehouse of knowledge. At times this warehouse of knowledge tries to tap into man.
So in answering your question it is possible to talk to ones that have passed over. Seeing the forms of ones that have passed over in reality is no longer possible. That would be called a "dark art", and caution should be taken in this area.

No one can talk to the dead. The dead do not exist. Whether you are an athiest or follow some other faith, the same is true. If you read the Bible correctly, the dead remain dead until the Resurrection. They are not aware and cannot communicate with anyone.

Birth and death are the front and back ends of
a quantum leap, that can span numerous light
years in the blink of an eye.
It's not likely anybody is talking to the dead.

Well, morticians see dead people all the time, and probably talk to them now and again. I don't think they talk back though.

But whether they hear you or answer
back is another matter. I just can't really
believe what that woman says is true.
I've said I miss you to my mom and dead
husband but they never answered back.

I talk to my dead brother all the time.......now on the other hand if he ever answered me I'd probably freak.
