I'm a witch, and yet I'm not comfortable with the use of the Ouija Board. Not because I am afraid, exactly, but because one calls up a completely unknown spirit. The thing originated as a parlor game, not to be taken seriously, but it can be a powerful connection to the unconscious mind, where there be demons. Unknown demons, which are the worst kind.

When I was young my father told me a story of a man who went mad shortly after they used one. My father is not a religious man and he never spoke against other psychic arts but mearly would never let us have an ouija board in the house. His fear of them made me warry and I have never used one, though I have practiced tarot and other divination methods at various times. Just given this one story I would stay away from ouija boards.

I think they're half way between scary and stupid. Either the don't work, in which case you are wasting your time, or they do work, and you are calling upon the help of a group of entitites with unknown motivations and who you have no reason to trust. If they do work, I would say that only an experienced "medium" (for lack of a better term) should handle them. Really, it's no different than the fact that I would never represent myself in court--that's what lawyers are for.

It should tell you something about the efficacy of the Ouija board if Parker Brothers puts it out.

I've used them before and it's just a magic trick.

Back to the Exorcist I see.

Ouija boards, assuming you are able to channel the dead are nothing more than a typewriter. read what it says and know that it could be good or bad depending on who is sending it.

In short, take it with a grain of salt.

If you are good then it will do you no harm.

I think if you are looking to invite demons into your life, they can be very effective.

They are just toys.

There is always somebody in the group who's guiding the pointer- although nobody will admit it.

FWIW- when I was a kid- I was always the one. It would freak out my friends. Well-actually only the girls.

I curse them and I believe I am on God's side in doing so. Black arts paraphernalia worth a fortune was burned in the bible when people repented. Who is your Father?
