I wouldn't necesarrily say "wrong" , but there are several "different" ways you could have (and possibly still can) approach the situation. Especially to ease your own horrorifying feelings.. First off.. we're reffering to 6yr olds. So their sense of gf/bf is FAR differnt and more innocent than what we as adults think of when we think of such scenarios. Reserve your stress and will power to restrain for when he comes home at 12,13,14 and starts telling you he's "thinking about getting one" .. Boys and girls at age 6 don't have a physical attraction to each other yet, so it really all is harmless child's play and at best they may..MAY.. hold hands or something.. but thats highly unlikey. You won't know unless you ask your son. Such conversation for snooping around to put yourself at ease (as well as him, so that he will come to u in the future) could be "What does it mean if you are someones boyfriend", "You said you were thinking about getting a girlfriend. So you know who you'd like tobe your Girlfriend. Why that Girl?" , "What do the bf/gf's in your class do? What makes them boyfriend and girlfriend?" etc etc.. You're gently probing him for info, while seeming interested and open and accepting of him. No matter his response (even if its something that concerns you) the most important thing you can do is remain "normal", calm, collected and if you strongly disapproave of something he's shared it might be a good idea to store the info and approach him later on that day, or even the next day when you'll be able to explain your disapproaval in a rational and accepting way~ geared to a 6yearold mindframe Because your friend made an excelent point. You don't want to scare him off of telling you things. You can avoid that by not being "mad" or judgemental. Honestly tho, as a parent myself who's already been thru this scenario twice with Daughters!! (1st time horrified me as well!) I can assure you.. its not as serious or alarming or abnormal as you think and it really is innocent. Sort of like how children play house, school, Dr, etc.. Its just child's play and they're playing boyfriend girlfriend- mimicking what they think bf/gf is and if you just ask you'll realize what they think it is and we know it is are 2 oppisates ..Thankkfully!

Wow, another clone of somebody in yahoo answers in the immigration forum. First Psi Chi and now Antis Suck. Cant you just get a life and stop pretending to be like somebody else. Its getting really annoying. I bet your the same person who made that fake Psi Chi clone to. You need to do something productive in your life instead of just pretending to be somebody else. I feel sorry for whoever your next victim will be.

The HIV/AIDS epidemic is a serious threat to the Hispanic community. In addition to being a population seriously affected by HIV, Hispanics continue to face challenges in accessing health care, prevention services, and treatment. In 2001, HIV/AIDS was the third leading cause of death among Hispanic men aged 35 to 44 and the fourth leading cause of death among Hispanic women in the same age group
