Being friend is a great way to begin a relationship. But you need to find out if she is interested in being more than friends with you. You might want to have someone ask her how she feels about you asking her out. Maybe a mutual friend of the 2 of you. If she is not interested then you can still have your friendship and maybe at a later time she will feel differently. If she is interested in you asking her out then you should come up with an activity to do. Something with a lot of people around is usually a good first date . Even a double date is good because it takes some of the discomfort off. Some fun activities would be - roller skating , attending a sporting event like a baseball game , a musical event like a musical ( maybe a high school musical ) Anyway something you both like to do would be best or at least something she likes to do .
Another idea would be to have a small informal gathering at your house ( with parents permission) and invite 5 to 10 friends including her.
Good luck !! No matter what happens , make sure she knows you value the friendship and want to keep that even if she isn't interseted in dating right now. She may change her mind later . Truthfully at that age , she may not even be allowed to have a biyfriend yet and it might have to wait until her parents allow it.
Keep ther friendship as a top oriority and it will all wirk out. A good friend who is a female will likely introduce you to lots of other girls over the years too !! So there will be lots of options and lots of fun people to meet.
Enjoy the adventure of meeting new people and getting to know your current friends even better.
Remember - girls have all of their own reasons for saying yes or no to dating you. It seldom has anything to do with you . So don't take anything personal.

Please don't over complicate your life at this time. The next level of curiosity / developement will come in it's own time. If you force it you run the risk of looseing a childhood friend.

By all means ask her out. When you do be strong and above how you feel. Girls love it when their male companion is strong in this way.

Remember; Your thirteen. You have a ways to go in experience gathering.

Be good to everyone.

Well it depends on if she sees you as more than a friend or not. If she does and you ask her out she will most likely say yes, but if she doesn't and you ask her out you may lose a friendship or she might overlook it and you two will still be friends, but you might want to ask one of your friends or even one of her friends to ask if she thinks of you in that way. If not then I suggest that you just leave your relationship as friends. Good Luck!

Number 1-you are 13. Be a 13. Dating is for older teens. No kid needs to date at 13. You can't even drive.

Why not get a group of kids together and go bowling, a movie, or roller-skating. Or a movie night at someone's home with several friends. At your age, that would be perfect.

YOU ARE ONLY 13 ! I would kick my sons butt if he came to me with that (he is 13 also). Just chill and be friends, there is no need for more. You have plenty of years to break hearts and get your heart broken. Play more video games :-)

Ask her to go someplace with you. If at the end of the night you both had fun ask her if she would like to start dating. Have a gift on hand for when she says yes.

Just ask her but what can you do on a date if you're only thirteen anyway?
