1) I think as a pagan living in a mostly Christian neighbourhood in the conservative SOUTH I have it FAR worse than most Christians and you don't hear me whining about how unpopular I am or how much Christians find fault with MY beliefs or condemn me and MY family

2) You ARE the majority religion in this part of the world.

3) You are the RICHEST religion in the world.

4) You currently have MAJOR political clout

What is your whining about? So not EVERYONE likes your religion so WHAT? So not EVERYONE agrees with you, so WHAT? So people come in here and ask challenging questions about your faith or critique your doctrine, SO WHAT? The Romans used to throw your forebearers to the lions and I am sure they NEVER used to whine as much as some of you do.

Why does it hurt your feelings so much when you cannot be popular EVERYWHERE you go?
Why do you feel this sense of entitlement to be COODLED and PRAISED for your beliefs by everyone and get VEXED when you are not?

And for the oversenstive and insecure let me just say, I ask this question with UTMOST respect and honesty.

I cannot tell you how many Christians have told me, "Fly off on your broomstick straight to HELL!" and I just laugh it off. No skin off MY back.

Let me clarify, I don't mean ALL Christians, just those that do the whining.

And I am not WHINING about YOUR whining, I just want to know WHY you WHINE?

If you live in the "conservative South" And still hold fast to your beliefs, good for you. I only visited Georgia for a few months and thought that a lifetime. I fully understand your point there.

I am a Christian man and it is not so bad not being the most popular person. In fact, if people are shunning me and walking away before even talking with me, that tells me they see something in me that is a little different. That is a good thing. Those are the ones that will later approach me and ask me to pray for them and their needs.
If people are praising me, then it isn't me they are praising. It's the Jesus in me. I am not that nice of a person without Him.
Questions that require me to think and research and are well thought out are very welcome. I think it is fun in a way. The more I'm questioned, the more I realize I don't know as much as I thought. It is quite humbling.

I promise not to whine if you promise the same thing. Deal?

Dude, i may be wrong but, maybe the its a southern vs north thing. Becuz christians don't really whine. And you have to remember that probably half the people that say they are christians are not really christians. And i know what you're talking about how we make deals over little things but they just some of us. So don't judge all christians on what you've only seen on the news and heard. I really think that there are come "christians" the whine about things but never get off there lazy @$$ to change anything that there wining about. And some christians don't have the right aprouch do get you do convert. For example i was on yahoo answers yesterday asking about auras and there was some christians that said "Your just some bull $h!tchild that doesn't know anything, and you need to convert to Jesus Christ! I got sooo mad becuz people like that shame the christian name.

I think you are doing some generalizing there. There are whiners in every group. I just got done with an answer where the Wiccan was unhappy about the lack of respect she was getting. I would be willing to guess it is close to the same percentage of each group complaining. And as you so accurately stated, there are more Christians in this neck of the woods.

Therefore, it would be logical that there would be more Christian complaints than any other religious (or non-religious or anti-religious) group.

As to why they feel picked on, groups tend to feel that way when certain things they used to be allowed to do are taken away. It is natural.

Peace.

Many Christians have a long way to go before they reach a mature form of Christanity. Some people like to complain because it brings attention to themselves. Christians are supposed to accept pain and discomfort cheerfully, and secretly, to unite themselves with Christ who died on the cross for all mankind. He never complained. What HE did was suppose to be an example of what we might have to suffer for our love of Him. Faith is a gift of God. We can not earn it. We can not say that we are going to heaven because we are a Christian, or that we will go to hell because we are pagans. We do not know how God will judge us. Mark Twain said, "Heaven is by favor, not by merit. If it were by merit, we would stay outside and our dogs would go in."

There are some; however, who hear the truth and have enough grace from God to accept the truth, but reject the truth because they are unwilling to give up the pleasures of their present life. They will be held responsible. Pray to the unknown God for guidence. God bless you.

Hey, no sweat here, dude. I'm totally with you on this one.

I think that some of them really feel they have to be martyrs, they paint themselves into victims (start the sad violins here, people), and whiney-whiney-whiney.

I get it too. Just because I'm not hiding the fact I'm an atheist Satanist. Sure I'll be going to Hell... when I'll believe in these things. It's laughable how they think they can impress me with imprending threats to my soul after my death... it'd work better if I believed what they said was true.

And I don't complain of it. Their childishness makes me laugh. Or at any rate annoys me. But Hell, I cope with it.

They are quite that blind and filled with hate, as you assert. But you will have to distinguish among the various respectable conservative Christians and the "devout proper" The latter aren't Christian--a minimum of not anything they do is in accord with what Christ taught. But they're proper approximately something--they're beingattacked--by means of the various respectable persons, liberal and conservative, Christian and non-Christian alike--who, like me--are ill and worn out in their hate, racism, bigotry, contempt for the Constitution, and intolerance of any person who dares to disagree with them. They introduced this on themselves. And the assaults will give up whilst--and if--they truthfully begin performing like Christians.

Let me share with you the magical words many of those of the Wica already know.

They are called "modifiers."
Some, many, so many, few, often, so often, it seems....

you'll get more ants with
"Why does it seem that some Christians often come in here and whine about being hated?"
than with:
Why Do Christians Come In Here And Whine About Being Hated?

More honesty, too.

Sometimes when a new christian doesen't understand just how to go about witnnesing for Jesus they get their feelings hurt by the rudeness because they don't have all the answers.

Why do some pagans come in here and whine about how christians whine about being hated. Then go on to say "You don't hear me whining about how unpopular I am" which would be whining. BOOYAH! My feelings are not hurt but I do think in my head, boy are they in for a shock when they die.
Also let me add that if someone is telling you the stuff you say and calling themself a christian, they are not.
