Can someone please explain to me what exactly this Kirk Cameron banana thing is all about? If it is what I am thinking, I have a bunch of good jokes to follow.

I do not have video-watching access at my current location.

Riegan, that is what I thought. Using that same logic, one could easily prove that the human penis was designed for homosexual use. But if we must stick to the banana, we should consider that the banana was designed for monkeys. Why would God design a fruit for both humans and monkeys unless he wanted us to fight over bananas? Personally, I think the humans will win the war with monkeys over the bananas. It will be difficult, but we can do it!

The banana argument is a variation on the argument from design, saying that some things are the way they are because they were designed especially for our pleasure and comfort. it "apparently" proves god's existance

Note that the banana:

Is shaped for human hand
Has non-slip surface
Has outward indicators of inward content:
Green — too early
Yellow — just right
Black — too late
Has a tab for removal of wrapper
Is perforated on wrapper
Bio-degradable wrapper
Is shaped for human mouth
Has a point at top for ease of entry
Is pleasing to taste buds
Is curved towards the face to make eating process easy

No no, its a good idea. See the banana proves god. The peel opens up, there's food inside it, the banana fits our hand (after years of careful breeding and what not on our part to grow modern bananas) and the peel is biodegradable. Therefore, God exists.

At least part of this argument fails, because I know some people who HATE the taste of bananas.

Now, lets see how pineapples and coconuts do in regard to this "proof."
