Mormons are Christian. They Believe very strongly in there faith but are not cults. The best place to answers your questions about that church is Mormon.org. go there and ask any questions you want.

I guess it would probably be their 13 Articles of faith. I'll give you a sample, you can google the rest.
We believe that all men shall be punished for their own sins, and not for adam's trangressions.
That's number 2, I believe.

That you can become like God knowing good & evil if you are baptized into the Mormon Church.
