I have almost been scammed twice, have applied for help, been turned down, and need help. I am gainfully employed work hard, but had a bad stretch of high utlities and my husband was out of work. I work 2 jobs, and have 2 kids. I am not looking for a handout, just a leg up. If anyone knows of anything that I may not have please let me know. Thank you so much.

Prosper.com may be a good option for you. Make sure to have a solid "Project" or "Plan".
Or you can try to borrow from your bank - with a co-signer.

Borrowing money because you are having bad financial times is not a good idea. How long will the bad stretch last? Will you have to keep borrowing if it does? If it does, how will this affect your ability to repay? Since you are looking for bad credit lenders, I figure that your credit is probably not so good. That would imply that you are currently carrying debt which is probably making the bad times worse. How does getting more debt help if the bad times keep going?
What you probably need is to see a counsellor to help you come up with a better way of handling your finances. Watch out there are scammers in this area as well.
The more and more I read about people in financial trouble, the more I believe that credit is like a drug. It is addicting and once you are hooked you have to keep scoring it to avoid the crash.
