Nihilists believe in nothing.

(Except nihilism, I guess?)

You guys are all Crazy both Atheists and Agnostics. Agnostics are crazy because they will argue that there is a God, when they need to, and when they have troubles, will argue against there being a God. As for Atheists you guys are the largest of all hypocrites. You claim you believe or follow nothing. Yet how do you follow a set of governing laws, i.e. not killing someone, not stealing etc. Therefore you believe in some sort of system with a higher authority. What you don't realize is that more than half the laws in existence today, were a result of laws from the bible (ie 10 commandments) and have evolved over time. Had the bible not had any laws, we would have not known what is wrong or right [for example, on what basis are laws challenged?]. Law books contain the phrase "the golden rule" 'don't do unto others as you would not have them due onto you' that is the whole principal of laws. Making laws that are to the benefit of a majority of people. This was from Jesus of Nazareth my atheist friend.

I believe in GOD and I think that if you look at the human body
and how our brains are capable of taking in 400 billion bits of information per second, how you can think something and chemicals mix in the brain and cause an electrical stimulation which travels down the nerve and stimulates the muscles to perform an action like reaching for a cup and this all happens in a fraction of a second and you still don't believe that we
were created by someting more intelligent than us you are just plain silly, but I don't think you should believe the way I do
and I am not offended, live and let live, I may not understand it but thats ok too. If you find the answer because I pushed you, you haven't found the answer that is right for you.peace.
so not all believers are the same.

Atheists DO believe in something...they believe that there is no God or gods, but without proof, it makes their faith no greater or worse than those who do believe in a higher being. Ditto for believers. They don't have the proof either, and therefore, no one person or group is more right than the other. Atheists are no more enlightened than a Christian, or whatever else they may practice and Christians are no more enlightened than Atheists.

Kind of simple if you ask me.

Sure, you can go into when life begins, evolution, the Big Bang, and surely, you'll create a stir. But in the grand scheme of things, when it comes to whether or not there is a higher being, none of us know, therefore, none of us can judge.

Well, atheists 'believe' that there is no God. One can call it also a lack of belief.

At least that is a choice. That is what God's asks from us. Not making a choice is also a choice what comes to the eternity.

some peoples beliefs are on shaky grounds, when anyone doesn't believe in god it makes them scared and angry and they have to lash out. I'm a agnostic and that seems to bother both religious folks and a few atheist as well. They call us fence sitters for not taking a leap of faith either way.

Well, some atheists do have a strong belief in the complete lack of existance of anything stronger than themselves in the universe.....
Or they do until you take the word god out the equation.

Ask them if they believe in the possibility of life on other planets that is more powerful than humankind and most of them say it's totally possible.

Tell them that's the definition of a god in most of the world's religions and they kvetch at you.

But, when I was an atheist, AND NOW, I believed in myself, and I'm something.

it sort of feels that some think of they might win a controversy by way of pretending there isn't one. it is humorous that people who use this tactic does not settle for it from their opposition. If an atheist ability that religionists don't have self assurance in gods 'deep down' they might rightly shoot him down and factor out the absurdity of the assertion, yet whilst the non secular recommend the different of atheists it is 'amen brother' 'testify'.

Not believing in god is NOT the same as believing in nothing. Religions are the one who believe in non-existant super being, therefore they believe in nothing.

I for one believe Bettierage is hot.

actually if you think about it atheists do have a belief- that there is no God- that is a sad belief, however I believe. But it is their choice to believe this way.

I don't care what you believe in or don't believe in. I'm not gonna push my beliefs on you and all I ask is the same in return.

May peace be upon you.
