I applied for this card three months ago and never received any letters of approval or anything, than when I call the customer service reps all tell you something different. I even asked for an address to write and complain and they told me they can't give out that information. It has to be something we can do to get this credit card company to stop soliciting this phony credit card.......

I agree, you should have received something that told you that you were approved or not, and if not, what CRA they pulled so you would be allowed to order your free credit report based on the denial.

Robert Johnson, BET founder and former owner, opened Urban Trust Bank, that is the bank that backs Salute Visa.

I found contact info, by clicking on the Maryland branch, when going to the BBB, which follows:

Urban Trust Bank
715 South Goldwyn Ave
Orlando, FL 32805
Orange County
Attn:Mr. Dion Harrison (he's the compliance officer)

(I would suggest that you go to the BBB site for confirmation of the address - since you have no idea who I am and you would be sending your info to this address)

Write them and tell them that you applied and have received nothing back, saying either approved or not, in the last three months. Also state that you have called numerous times and the CSR's are extremely unhelpful in not clearing this up for you. And that you have found the contact info from the BBB site since the CSR's would not give it to you.

(you might also go to the BBB site and file a complaint)

I also applied for this card and was very skeptical at first. I t did take a few weeks for me to get the card but after I got it I was able to activate it as the instructions said. I have already used my card and already received my first billing statement. When you call costumer service it is very difficult to get through and when you do it seems like the reps have no clue what time of day it is. Also, once you receive your card you can log on to their web site and establish an on-line acct with them to view your transactions, pay your bill etc.

Actually, I received an invitation from them on April 25, 2007; was approved on the same day, and received the card May 1. It's Imagine that I haven't been able to get in touch with.

I have a salute card and so far I haven't had any problems(knock on wood)...I admit the fees are a little high, but that is the price you pay for having bad credit or no credit at all...If you are looking to rebuild your credit it can be a good place to start...the initial fee is $150 and you are charged a $6 maintenance fee....

I've heard of making an initial payment, but not giving a bank account number, unless it is a secured credit card. I've never had to give a bank account number for an unsecured card.

The same thing happened to me as it did with other people. They contacted me by mail asking for additional information, I supplied this weeks ago with no response. Maybe it's a good thing they haven't sent me out a card it sounds like a ripoff to me.

I just got this in the mail myself.

You can write to them at:

Salute Visa Services
P.O. Box 105555
Atlanta GA 30348-5555

Or you can also write to the issuer of Salute Visa, Urban Trust Bank, at PlanetFeedback.com.

PlanetFeedback is easy and free. I used them to settle an account dispute with MBNA. Great site!
