Many Atheists claim that Atheism is the reasonable or logical choice since no evidence exists that proves the existence of God.

Since eyewitness testimony is evidence in a court of law, the majority of courts in the world, people who can testify to the existence of the Lord God are themselves evidence.

By rejecting evidence that is acceptable in the majority of courts in the world by claiming no evidence exists Atheists are not only hypocrites they are closed minded, illogical and unreasonable.

Agnostics I can understand since I can understand someone saying, "I am not swayed by current evidence to either believe or disbelieve". This is a more open minded position and infers that the person could be swayed by evidence they accept.

Atheism; the hypocritical, closed minded, illogical and unreasonable choice

First answerer:

If you walk into a court of law and attempt to state god visited you and spoke to you, how many people would have you locked up? How many would out of hand dismiss your testimony? How many would have you go under a psycological profile? How many of those would not be proven to be mentally ill? In fact, would you listen to his man? Not only that but how many people have claimed this over the course of time and been proven again and again to be mentally ill?

Your arguement is unique but not flawless.

The new breed of Atheists, Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, and myself included, are sick of the damage religious mythology is doing to our world. Every major war on the planet today boils down to a contest to see who's God is better. Name for me one major conflict today that isn't. The only way to counter the onslaught of evangelical charlatans and snake oil salesmen is to counter lies and mythology with science and logic.

"always?" When does that happen? Can you cite some sources for that? Atheists do not tell people what to believe. Where have you seen this?

believe whatever you want to believe .... good luck to you

you wanna hear my opinion? ... I promise I wont goto congress and try to pass any laws, not like you nut-jobs do

ADD-
now john ... you said "Atheism; the hypocritical, closed minded, illogical and unreasonable choice"

thats a very close minded way of looking at it ... I'll try to help you ... being open minded means trying to change the way you think about things, not trying to convince others to think the way you do

your 'logic' is a little flawed

You are probably confused. Atheists usually encourage people NOT to believe, but rather, to rely on observation and reason.

Well, as I see it, I'm not telling you what to believe, I'm telling you what's silly to believe in. There is a difference.
