are they supposed to ask you all that kind of stuff.

Im 17. I started to have sex with my gf about 9 weeks ago and i got burns and scabs on my penis. when I went to the doc she looked at it but she also asked lots of very personal questions and wanted to know every detail of what me and my girlfriend had been doing. It made me feel very umcomfortable.

Do they really need to know all of that stuff ?

your Dr. is a perv. there is no viable reason for him to ask you such questions, get a new Dr. ASAP

What in the world did you do?????????

I think I would be asking your girl friend where and who she had been with other than you???? Or ask yourself what other people have you been with and what did they give you????

I don't know if you have ever had sex before which I hope not at the age you are at now!!!! But something is wrong !!!!

Yes, the doctor can't help you if she did not know what you have doing to yourself or what your girlfriend had done to you???

If this does not clear up go back to the doctor!!

At your age I think you could wait a few more years!! I am 54 years old and you have lots of years to have sex. You don't want to get tired of it!!!! Wait awhile longer you are still way to young for sex!!!
Good Luck I hope you heal well!!

What you consider an invasion of privacy your doctor would consider gathering information. You are the one with the scabby penis, you better be truthful and give the information she asks for.

Just because you were embarrassed by the doctor asking questions doesn't mean she was out of line. If you're having sex that results in physical damage to yourself, you should be man enough to handle the scabby penis questions.

I hope she told you to use condoms. Ew.

Yeah, she was basically trying to find out how you got those burns and scabs. So they do need to know all of that stuff.

IF it was just a general thing, then all they ask is how long you have been sexually active, often times doctors ask if you use protection.

The questions that you might feel are 'personal' are most likely to determine the cause of the lesions ... She has to be able to figure out if the cause was chemical (perhaps a reaction to a spermicide or lube) or if it is bacterial , etc ...

You have to be very aware .... and be safe ...
