my boy friend has a passport and i was wondering if he could obtain a temp. license here?

It depends on what states you live and his status. Most states will let alien drive if he/she has student visa(F1) or work visa(H1) or even something.

He won't be able to get permit if he only has tourist visa. First check what type of visa that he has then call your local DMV if he could get a permit with his type of visa.

Guess it depends on what state you live in but here more is required. They have various requirements and documents that fullfill each group and I do remember a passport was 1 document that was accepted but more were required.

Check the DMV in your state, some states require that you live for a certain amount of time in the state and also utility bills.
