First, your 'anxiety' has NOTHING to do with whether or not you have the 'necessary skills' to do what you have been hired for. YOU KNOW THAT ... and that is the 'best answer' to your 'anxiety' ... you need to think about that as a 'misleading symptom' and treat it by doing 'relaxing exercises' ... meditation, yoga, or just 'thinking positive thoughts' as you feel the 'anxiety' coming on. If you HIT IT HARD with these 'relaxation tricks' you'll find that the 'anxiety' goes away or 'lessens' to the point that you can then 'do your work' easily ... a few 'deep breaths' and thinking 'I am good at this job' when you feel the anxiety starting will be all you'll need to 'get through' the first few weeks ... and after awhile, it will become such a 'habit' that you'll actually start doing it without even thinking about it ... and you'll SHINE at your new job. If anyone asks 'what you are doing' to be 'so good' at what you do, TELL THEM that you have 'crippling anxiety' and that you do 'relaxing exercises' to get through the anxiety ... and you'll soon become a 'good mentor' to others who have anxiety like yours ... so get out there and SHINE, my dear. YOU CAN DO IT! YOU KNOW YOU CAN! And CONGRATULATIONS on getting this new job ... because you did that well enough that you now are going to be JUST FINE and BETTER THAN FINE once you are over the first 'problems' and are an 'old hand' at doing your job.

Your extent of anxiety is effecting your life. You can see someone at a clinic or hospital where the cost is income based. Explain to them about your financial situation...often they can help you with free samples or through programs by the companies that make the medication if you do not have money for them. And, many of the medications for anxiety are available in generic form and are not expensive. Again, the anxiety you are experiencing on an ongoing basis indicates that you need professional help. Your life does not have to be like this.

Well hopefully you can bite the bullet the first couple days and just MAKE yourself calm down, breathe deep, then your anxiety should subside a little bit once you face it the first couple days. Just keep it in your mind if I make it thru the first couple days I'll be fine! See it as a personal challenge-- things like that make you STRONGER! You can absolutey do this if you set your mind to it, I have faith in you. Then get yourself some insurance and get on some anxiety meds!! I've had anxiety for years and totally understand how that feels. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy!

It all starts with the opinion you have about your job. The only way of breaking a feeling of fear is fighting or flying, in this case, it means to work on your job or quit.
As you want to keep your job, you need to analyze what are the activities that cause you the most fear and why.

Really you shouldn't worry to much, if you go in and do the very best that you can do. than you aren't expected to do more anymore. Calm down and just be your own best self! Good luck although you don't need it! Have fun and you'll be great!
