God spoke to the Prophets of Israel. Because Israel was afraid of the voice of the Lord.

Today, in the new covenant, we are born of His Spirit. We can pray to God, because Jesus shed His blood for the remission of your sins. We pray to God in our spiritman & truth (Honest from our heart). Then we also listen and receive an answer from God. Then also, some of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are very prophetic. A prophetic word to encourage others in faith.

Then there is the Prophetic Ministry that the Lord calls to this ministry. An example of this type of Prophet today is http://www.kimclement.com .

God has given me visions, or a word of wisdom or knowledge, or understanding many times. So? Most people who are born of God, are prophetic in that they are restored in relationship with God. They pray to God. This is communicating, talking with God and hearing God.

If God doesn't speak to you, or you don't pray to God, then you aren't a child of God yet. Jesus said that to enter the Kingdom of God, you must be born again. This is spiritual birth and restoration with God.

The answer is simple. Fisrt let me ask you, why don't I just speak to you directly instead of having to send you a message?
Obviously, because we haven't even met.
Did you meet God yet?
And what if we had met already but don't have any type of relationship, would it be easy to communicate? NO.
What you need to do is have an encounter with God and start a close relationship with Him. He is more real than you think and in the best interest of speaking to you directly without having to use someone or something else.
God speaks to your spirit and your spirit is dead when you don't have a relationship with Him. Start by prying, just talk to him like you would talk to anyone else, He knows you more than you know yourself. Read the Bible and to help you keep up go to a church near you where they can teach you to have a close relationship with God.

what is the purpose of life??they say that a fool lives to eat and a wise man eats to live but then the question remains:for what purpose does the wise man live?living isnot an end by itself.there has to be a purpose for man to live for so what is this purpose?/Those who believe in the Creator can answer the questions: where from? And where to? They know that they have come into existence by being created by the Creator and they also know that there is an eternal life after death. But what about the answer to the third question, that is: why have we been created? If we had been created by the Creator, shouldn’t we expect that He would tell us the purpose of our creation? Shouldn’t He tell us on what basis He is going to judge us on the Day of Judgment..

God can and does speak directly to those of us who are listening.

A prophet is a person who is called by and speaks for God. For example, Gordon B. Hinckley, of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, currently serves as a prophet of God. One of his many witnesses of Jesus Christ and the restored Gospel can be found at: http://www.lds.org/conference/talk/display/0,5232,49-1-690-30,00.html.

God does speak to us, the majority of the people don't listen or don't like the answer they get. If I have a question for God, before I go to sleep I ask that he answers in my sleep. It never fails, I wake up in the morning with the answer.

God doesn't speak to the prophets either. They're full of it. God gave us free will and left us to fix our own problems. If someone says they've heard from God recently, grab your wallet and run from them.

God does not speak to prophets or anyone else. However, our creator gave us a conscious. Sometimes religious people mistake this for being the voice of God.

Us? Speak for yourself. God speaks to me. You'll hear him too if you would humble yourself and listen. As for Gabe, my friend, there is no mistake God's voice may not be audible to us as his presence is not tangible. But the same way you know he's there you also know he's speaking.

Because first you have to qualify. Even in mundane plane, if you want to speak with someone very important, he won't just go and running to you, first you must deserve it.
We are in a very impure condition and God reserve His right to be aloof from us.
First deserve it and then demand.

ah you see it is quit simple.

a person that seeks God's Word and live like a real Christian Should ( a live that follows God's word) can easaly here God's Voice for their body is clean and not full of sin.

The reason why God doesn't speak to every one directly is becuse of the sin tha is in you. the sin doesn't let God pureafy you and blocks the precens of God.
