I think it depends on your ideas of 'fancy' and 'love'.

Attraction is nature's way of assuring that our species propogates. In this, we are no different than other animals. It is not a matter of will, but of biology. Movies would have us believe that we are in complete control of ourselves if we are 'good' people. Perhaps they simply want to portray us as being above our animal nature. But I think it does us all a disservice not to understand how and why these urges he way they do.

I've never heard of a good explanation of 'romantic love' that didn't involve some form of 'you'll just know' somewhere in the explanation.

So I prefer to think of love as an act of will. That is, love isn't something that 'happens' to you. It is a committment you make to someone else. It means committing your will to someone else's needs and best interests. It isn't accidental. Love is a conscious effort you make. You don't 'fall in love', you decide to love someone.

Love doesn't involve making a committment. Love itself IS the committment. So perhaps you don't 'realize' you're in love with someone. Rather, you realize that you WANT to love someone, so you do.

Love is an action verb.

If he sleeps around, he hasn't yet decided to love you. Once he does, it will be his decision not to stray. Will he still look? Sure. Nature will make sure of that. But whether or not he fulfills his own committment to you depends on the strength of his character.

Does anyone have a stepstool? I need some help getting down from this high horse.

If he is starting to realize it, and acknowledges it out loud to you and states that you are perfect for him, chances are that he will be true. But, you sound as though you are speculating, not stating a fact. Maybe it's wishful thinking on your part, because he hasn't "made a move" yet. It's in the physical nature of a man to look, and yes, sometimes touch or run around. It is, however, the nature of a gentleman to control his baser urges when he has found someone he can settle down with. Women, in general not as a rule, are the ones that are emotional creatures, they most often will run around when their emotional needs are not met or they fall in "love" with someone else, they are not as casual about it.

Unfortunately, that is going to depend on your guy. If he is in love, and not a horny toad, he mostly likely won't sleep with other girls. Now taking a fancy to them, that will never stop. Guys always fancy other woman, even if you never see them flirting or staring or anything like that. The whole "I only have eyes for you" line is BS.

But to put it simply, if a guy is in LOVE (not puppy love, and not lust) with a girl, then he wouldn't PHYSICALLY do anything to jeopardize that. The mind may wonder, but the heart would stay true.

Men are, after all, human. No matter how much in love he is, he will find other women attractive. Nothing wrong with that. Just because he's attached doesn't mean he's blind. But a real man will not have one-night stands or cheat in any way.

Yes of course he will still fancy other girls, after all he's a man! However, you should be able to expect him to be completely committed to you i.e. no flirting with other girls, let alone anything more serious. If he flirts in front of you or has one night stands etc, dump him straightaway. You deserve better

Anybody can appreciate a pretty face in the street...but gentlemen do not lie and they certainly do not cheat.

If you know somebody well enough to love them, then you probably know them well enough to know that they wouldn't cheat. Trust comes before love, not vice versa.

It is impossible to truly love somebody you do not trust.

yes. random stuff. one nite stands. esp if they spend lotsa time apart.

some ppl know how to detach themselves from their actions, like when they're with one nite stands they know what they're doing and it's purely physical. but when they're with someone they love it's a combination of physical and emotional pleasure, and intimacy. that's why there's a difference.
