122 pounds is not fat. The best thing you can do for yourself is take care of you. . .in every way. . .physically and emotionally.
Do not weigh yourself everyday. I am just a little over 5 feet tall and ended up with an eating disorder. The most I had ever weighed was 128 pounds . . .I got so focused on my weight. I dropped down to 97 pounds. . .now that was a scary thing. . .and even at 97 pounds still thought I could stand to lose more weight!!!!!
I weigh 118 - 120 pounds give or take a pound depending on the day :) and I am happier than I have ever been. I eat regularly through out the day and stay active. Having self-confidence is the most important thing. If you have curves. . .embrace them and learn how to dress them. I am more proud of my body today than I was when I was a stick that weighed 97 pounds. Now I have boobs and a butt and actually look like the woman I am.
Be good to yourself. :)

Well I weigh 121 lbs. and I don't know where you are seeing fat because I see none, and I am short. I think you probably should buy bigger clothes( mainly shirts). Maybe your old shirts have gotten a little snug from washing and drying. There are people out there who would pay money to weigh 122 lbs, you should be happy with your weight, you are fine, and you probably are having a growth spurt, if you a teenager. You might want to talk to someone also, like a counselor, just my opinion but if you feel fat at 122 lbs. there might be some underlying issues that have you troubled and that you need to face. I weigh one pound less than you and wish I could gain a pound or 5. Think of the benefits of being your size (never have trouble finding clothes, and I know I can still wear some kid stuff (t-shirts/tanktops), which is alot cheaper, you can wear almost any style clothing) Don't think you're fat because there are people who weigh twice your weight. You don't want to lose too much weight either because for 1. it makes you look sickly and 2. it can cause all sorts of complications in your body, if anything exercise, if you have a little roll around the belly, which almost everyone does, try situps, and cutting back on those Thursday sweet days, but don't deprive your body of the food and nutrients it needs to keep you healthy and functioning. All the best.

I had the same problem you did with the fat belly showing through the fabric. I started walking 2 miles a day, plus doing TurboJam AbJam every day and cardio for 45 minutes ever other day. I lost 4" around my waist in six weeks.
In addition to the exercising, I eliminated a majority of all sweets, if I want a sweet I take a small bit to satisfy my taste. No longer do I eat a piece of cake, but a bit of cake, etc.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

You omit how old you are. and how tall you are, but I can tell you that maybe you need to talk to a counselor. 122 is not really a lot of weight unless you are 4 ft tall.

In order to loose weight you have a couple options; however, it is a simple solution.
1) either reduce you caloric intake
2.) or increase the rate of caloric burn (by increasing your heart rate through exercise several time a week)
3.) a combination of both...
I suggest #3...

read the book, "Eating for Life" by Bill Phillips. the knowledge contained in that book will help you understand what you have to do exactly to achieve whatever body shape you want. i could explain it all out here but its a ton of info and i don't want you to be mislead by my editing of what he says in his book.

how tall are you? 122 is not fat for any height, but it sounds like you need to get off your butt and workout, not cut calories.
