You need to speak with a therapist as soon as possible. To be truthful you may be depressed or you may have an anxiety problem (thus the what iffing about what is wrong with you and worrying about making a fool of yourself). Your thoughts are interfering with your life to the extent that you consider yourself anti-social...enough cause to talk to someone about what is going on.

Yes, it's in your head but that's where depression and anxiety is. I've gone through it for years. There's no reason to be embarrassed when you tell a doctor and you don't need to tell anyone else. I waited until I was 28 to get treatment for depression and anxiety that practically controlled my life for 10-15 years. I had so much anxiety, I was afraid to see a doctor. Once I went, it was the best thing I ever did and I wish I had gone a lot sooner.

Go to a doctor, you are not making an idiot out of yourself. That part is definitely 'in your head'!!

Every one, at times feels the way you do at times. What helps all of us is talking about it. It really does help to talk your feelings out. We all have to let it out. Talk to a friend. There is nothing to be embarrassed about telling a Dr., Sometimes they will put you on meds. Counseling will do wonders for you. The counseling will make you stronger, then you will have a good out look for your life. The best thing is to write down every thing you want to say to your Dr. and bring it to him. If you can't tell him show him what you wrote. Believe me he will understand. This will not be the 1st time that your Dr. has had a patient who feel the way you do. Go on pick up the phone, make that call. Call someone.

Don't ever be embarrassed to go to the doctor. He (or She) has heard it all and is your friend. He's there to help you. I want you to remember that EVERYONE is self-conscience about something about themselves. I think your doctor can figure out if you need medication, and there are so many of them, he would know which one would make you feel happy and "normal" again. Wouldn't that be wonderful? Please go. In the meantime, walk with your head up high with confidence, smile and say hi to people who's eyes meet yours, and just be a pleasant person. Make an appt. with your doctor now!! I promise it'll be worth it. Good luck. :)

This is a question for you family physician. It could be physical, emotional, or mental. The only way to make an idiot of yourself, is not to see your physician. Make and appt. and be honest, you won't regret it. By the way, the definition of insanity is "doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." If you don't address this, your insane. LOL

Don't be embarassed. Who's to know, except you and your doc and I guarantee, right up front, that your's will not be the wierdest case he's ever had.
These things you describe could be nothing, or could indicate the onset of real problems. Talk to a doc and get help. You'll be glad you did.

If this is something that's severely affecting your life you need to get over the embarassment and seek help. If you thought you had diabetes you wouldn't be too embarassed to seek help, would you?
