why do some people add and subtract from the bible? what you see is what you get, i just hear some people say "oh i believe in jesus christ and heaven but i dont believe in hell", how can you not believe in hell when the bible states that there is? another thing doesnt the bible state that committing suicide in a sin, but yet i hear people say that "not if you have mental disorders, or if you are emotionally distraught? i dont see that written in the bible anywhere, if you committ suicide thats a sin, you cant repent for that. im an agnostic, but im just confused on how people envison God the way they want him to be and not for who he really is written in the bible.

Your thinking is right on.

What you see is what you get. A dog is a dog, a cat is a cat, a lion is a lion. Ye shall know them by their fruits. They try to hid behind flawed technicalities. For instance, if it does not say Trinity, there is no such thing. If it does not say Homosexual, there is no such thing. And the even change a good definition into a bad one with a

TWIST.

Gay use to mean happy and care free. But now people incorrectly are saying that is a homosexual. The devil has made the word homosexual, easier to be acceptable by just changing this abominable name, homosexual, to the word Gay. God knew better than give names for two reasons. The powers there be and other names given which mean the same thing. That is one reason why Revelation was written as it was. Everyone with rational sense who will admit it knows that let us means more than one person. Everyone with rational sense who will admit it knows that lying with mankind as with woman kind means homosexuality behavior. Right is right and wrong is wrong.

including: once you opt to operate fractions, the denominators (the bottom 1/2 of the fractions) should be an same. in the adventure that they are, upload the numerators (the properly 1/2 of the fractions) and positioned that # over the denominator the fractions percentage. party- 2/10 + 4/10 = 6/10 If the denominators are diverse, multiply both the numerator and denominator of the fraction(s) so as that the denominators are an same. party #a million- 2/3 + 2/5 multiply 2*5 and three*5---> new fraction 10/15 multiply 2*3 and three*5---> new fraction 6/15 Then upload like earlier.... 10/15 + 6/15 = 16/15 or a million a million/15 party #2- 4/10 + a million/2 2 will be expanded by utilising 5 to get 10, so that you purely prefer to regulate the 2d fraction. a million*5 and 2*5---> new fraction 5/10 (denominators are an same now) 4/10 + 5/10 = 9/10 Subtracting: Subtracting also calls for the denominators to be an same. at the same time as they are (use the multiplying technique above to assist) you purely subtract the numerators from one yet another. party- 6/10 - 2/10 = 4/10 Multiplying: Multiplying is between the finest operations in fractions. All you ought to do is multiply the numerators by utilising one yet another and the denominators by utilising one yet another (that's usually stated as 'multiplying throughout'). it would not remember if the denominators are an same once you're multiplying. party- 4/6 * 3/5 = 12/30 or 2/5 (2/5 is the simplified version of 12/30). (4*3=12, 6*5=30 ----> 12/30). Dividing: there is not any thanks to truly divide fractions, so that you multiply by utilising reciprocals. A reciprocal is (in effortless words) a fragment turn-flopped. Reciprocal Examples- The reciprocal of three/5 is 5/3. The reciprocal of seven/35 is 35/7. The reciprocal of 10 is a million/10 (keep in concepts 10 is a fragment- that's 10/a million). The reciprocal of sixty 4 is a million/sixty 4. Dividing/multiplying by utilising reciprocal examples- ( ' / ' stands for divided by utilising) 2/10 / 3/5 ---> (multiply by utilising reciprocal) variations to... 2/10 * 5/3 (then multiply the fractions) 2*5 and 10*3 ---> 10/30 or a million/3 6/30 / 2/12 ---> (multiply by utilising reciprocal) variations to... 6/30 * 12/2 (then multiply the fractions------- 12/2 equals 6) 6/30 * 6.... 6*6 and 30*a million-----> 36/30 i recognize all of it sounds complicated yet basically practice it a touch and also you may understand with out delay. i'm hoping this helps! sturdy success on your attempt!

First of all, the Bible has not always existed. What we today call the Bible came about by people adding and subtracting passages and full documents from it sometimes for doctrinal purposes.

With any set of documents (and after all, what we call the Bible is a finite set of documents) with a complex origin, some parts will seem more relevant and applicable than others.

The Bible is only one among many sources of belief. I would be very skeptical of anyone's claim that that only believe what they find in the Bible.

As beliefs come in one door, other beliefs go out the other.

Sometimes the beliefs that go out the door found their classic expression in the Bible.

Whether or not you are a believer, I will answer your question frankly. The brains of a believer is damaged. If they accept that hocus-pocus as truth and fact then their brains are damaged. The reason why believers are always coming up with their versions of what is meant by passages in the bible is, simple because it is fiction and they are trying to apply it as fact, and therefore they can not understand that it is all fiction and then they will never obtain the correct answer about any of it until they get away from it..

Do you interpret every verse literal?

What about the subtractions made in 1600 by Saint Jerome...whole books deleted from the Bible...do you seek after those books too?

People do this because they do not want to obey the rules that God has set down. The wrewstle with Scriptures to their own distruction. They wish to continue to live however they want to live and still make it to heaven. They will fnd out on the day of Judgement and then it will be eternally too late.

When interpreting the Bible it is important that one use proper hermeneutics, otherwise there will be false interpretations. Otherwise, for one untrained in hermeneutics you are always safe in following the interpretations of Christ's Church, the Catholic church, of which, the bible states that it is the "bulwark and ground of the truth".

You're right. A lot of paper-christians envision God how they want him, basically to back their own beliefs and issues.

I however, believe that God Is. Not how I want him, though I wish it sometimes. I'm not one of them paper-christians =).
