We have an 11 month old daughter who turns 1 on the 19th of this month. My wife just missed Mother's Day last year.

How about not buying her any junk to clutter things up and do something thoughtful? Most gifts are too commercial. Write her a letter, or song, etc. telling her how much it means to you that she is the mother of your child...

Well, it's a bit late to start thinking about this now!

But, here are some ideas:

Flowers (NICE flowers, not cheap ones.)
Chocolates
A necklace, earrings, or bracelet
Gift Certificate for her favorite store or restaurant
A nice diaper bag or large straw bag for summer
Offer to get the house cleaned professionally next week, or offer to do it yourself.
Take her out to a nice brunch, or make it yourself.
Give her a massage tonight, and just a massage.

LOL i dont know but i told my hubby i wanted a GAS powered weed eater!! LOL he just laughed but really im the one that does all the yard work, and i HATE walking around weed eating with ten thousand power cords dragging behind, we have a 1/2 acre of land!!! But really try get her something practical that you know she will use.....I would love a nice massage. Most women arent too hard to please :) We just like the thoughtfulness :) Goodluck!!! Help your daughter make her something :) something simple. You can buy little kits at wal-mart that make a picture frame with her picture and the other side has her hand prints. Made of clay :) Really neat :)

Digital photo frame, you probably by now have a ton of photos and only so much wall space.

Also my husband got me a locket key chain, which I love, since I dont wear much jewelry, or if she does, a locket might be nice for a photo of the baby. Kind of old fashion, but old fashion can be in sometimes.

I personally like it when my fance takes care of our kids and gives me breakfast in bed, and takes me window shopping (that is my favorite thing to do). a new necklace would be nice, or some other jewlery, but remember that it's not the material that shows you love her, it's the thought behind what ever you give her.

How about a gift certificate for an hour long massage or a pedicure? Any new mom would loooove this and would totally appreciate it, I'm sure!
