I have a 99 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. It has the factory radio and cd player. Last night it was really humid outside, and my radio/clock display got so dim I couldnt even see the time or the radio stations. Today, it is still horribly dim, so dim it looks like the car isnt even on.

Anyone know why this would happen? Its very annoying.

Thanks.

I'd say it's related to the humidity. Sounds like you have a hairline crack in your case somewhere. I know when I had my Acura 3.2TL, it if was humid, the cd player wouldn't play, but after running the AC to get rid of the humidity, it would play fine.

I replaced several blower motor resistors on my GTP see if there is power on the blower motor wire and ground the other wire the fan should take off. If not it is the blower not the resistor. I am one of the founding menbers of club GP we're a great bunch and full of good ideas. Ground the motor that simulates the resistor being in there and if the blower does not run you found a worn out blower motor. If there is no power on the hot side of the blower there is another problem. Let us know.

Just a thought but have you checked the dimmer switch for the dash lights? Maybe you moved it accidentally and dimmed the radio as well. ........Paul
