think about how many beautiful red head celebs there are? susan sarandon, kate winslet, nicole kidman, drew barrymore, they all have them queing up. red hair is beautiful. If you want to go back to red, either wait for it to grow out, or go to a hair dressers and get it chemical stripped, but i'd be careful, it can leave your hair in poor condition, so moisturise it and use heaps of conditioner after. Also, something i do, is chose a dye that's my natural colour, dye it that, and then when it grows out, your natural roots will be the same colour as your dyed hair.

Because "red head" sounds better and is easier to say than, "orange head".
It's the same reason Minnesota license plates say "Land of 10,000 Lakes", and not "Land of 11,500 Lakes".

The same reason Caucasian people are called white when they are pink or beige, and African Americans are called black even though they are brown,etc.....People are silly that's all.

Yes it's a simple question....a simple minded one.
Sweetie why does it matter? It's been called red for years. Do you think we're just going to change what we call redheads because some genius comes out and says "You know what.....it's not red....it's ORANGE!"
Do you think they're going to care?
