It is not just fundamentalist Christians; all religions and denominations dislike all other people who do not believe the same way they do. What is odd is that many Christians that I know, when they our not thinking within the religious box and are using their conscious (at work, at school, with friends, etc.), are fairly open-minded and tolerant of other beliefs because it is politically correct. However, as soon as they open their book and put on their religious hat and close their minds, they remember that people with beliefs different than theirs are on their way to burn in hell.

Fundamentalist Christians pick on any one who believes differently than them. They don't understand Christ's teaching about loving your neighbor.
They pick on people that they do not understand and are afraid of. They don't understand the teachings or doctrine of other churches. They are brainwashed by their church leaders to think everyone but fundamentalists are wrong. They are afraid because people are seeing the truth and leaving the fundamentalists to join the Mormons. Jehovah Witnesses and Catholics.

Hey, I'm LDS (Mormon) and I don't "hate" gays. I don't hate anyone, actually. I know there are many other Christians who pick on Mormons and JW's but not all of them do. There are still plenty who are respectful. I think on here, people are a little more vocal, I guess. I just think there is a lot of misleading information about Mormons and JW's, like we aren't "true followers of Christ" like another answer said. Some of the things that are said simply aren't true.

I know funny isn't. It's true the Catholics, Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, Jews, Atheists all seem to be more respectful to what others believe. It seems some people still think "if they are different them me i can't befriend them." Makes you wonder who is really living a Christian lifestyle.

It is a shame, but yes, some of us do like to pick on them. It ought NOT to be that way. The motive for saying anything should be love.
We are to speak (or write) the truth from a motive of love. This doesn't happen all the time unfortunately.
What the deal is, is this: to the unsaved, we warn, and that from love.(should be from)
To the believers of "other" denominations, we challenge, again from love (should be) because the aim is orthodox, true, pure, non-heretical theology.
Our beliefs MUST rest on FACTS, and if the source of belief is suspect, you really must re-consider the belief.

This question perhaps ignores two interesting facts...
First, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that sex between unmarried persons is exactly as sinful as sex between same-sex partners. Gays are not uniquely sinful.
Secondly, Jehovah's Witnesses do not advocate against gays, abortion, or "democrats" in any forum, picket line, letter to an editor, or "town hall" style meeting. None of those "causes" are involved in "the good news".
Christianity is based on living in harmony with and preaching the "good news" of God's Messianic Kingdom by Christ Jesus. The true Christian congregation is organized primarily to perform this global Scriptural assignment.
(Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations
(Luke 9:6) They went through the territory from village to village, declaring the good news
(Acts 5:42) Every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.
By stark contrast with so-called "religious" activists, however, Jehovah's Witnesses note pointedly that biblical "good news" is not about such things as abortion or homosexuality or the death penalty or Iraq or pharmaceuticals or psychiatry. Individual Jehovah's Witnesses may have opinions on such issues, but they do not advocate for or against these issues as though it were a primary message from God.
Sadly, so-called "religious" activists distract from the real message of God and obfuscate the bible's "Good News". These self-absorbed religionists focus so much attention of their human agendas that they ignore the godly teachings that can really help people.
Jehovah's Witnesses go from house to house to encourage and upbuild. Their work is to spread the "Good News", which is about the Kingdom of God, and the blessings the Messianic King Christ Jesus will bring.
(Luke 8:1) Journeying from city to city and from village to village, preaching and declaring the good news of the kingdom of God
(Acts 10:36) Declare to them the good news of peace through Jesus Christ

Well, as a Catholic, I find it amusing that fundamentalists don't consider me a Christian. I mean, we were the first Christians and had been around for at least 1500 years before they thought they were superior. I think that Fundamentalists fit into the same category as Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses--a tiny bit above a cult.

you have to love the irony.....the fundamentalists claim that catholics aren't true followers of christ....when in fact they were the first church. any church that split off of the catholic church, or a split off of a split off would be just as guilty of worshiping falsely.
how can a dead tree (catholic church) produce a living branch (calvinism, lutheranism, baptists, etc)?
interesting that fundamentalists only attack the 3 churches who claim to be the only correct church.
fundamentalists, get a life!!!!!!!!!!!

Fundamentalists are not allowed to think for themselves, and they like it that way. Therefore, if you want to know the answer to this question, they are the last one that you should ask. They have no idea. They only follow directions.

It is a commandment of the LDS (Mormon) church to never criticize others' churches or religions.
We are also commanded to love everyone. We do not hate homosexuals.
BTW, Jesus Christ does not hate sinners. He hates sin because it destroys peace and separates man from God.
