Dark chocolate is certainly healthier to eat than milk chocolate, but it is still chocolate and is full of fat and sugar. You dont need to eat junk food to gain weight. You can gain healthy weight by eating lots of fruits, veggies and nuts.

The only kind of healthy weight is muscle. The other type of weight is fat.

By healthy weight, do you mean weight on the scales, or visible weight?

If you are referring to healthy weight as 'a bit of fat on a skinny person', then foods with sugar and fat will help you there (or simply eating a caloric surplus - more than you burn in a day).

However, for gaining muscle, weight training must be performed, and more protein must be consumed in order to build the muscles. Of course, a caloric surplus is still required in this situation, so that the body can use the food it gets to build muscle. Therefore, dark chocolate may still be of some use.

If you want to gain "healthy weight," try putting on some muscle. Start lifting progressively heavier stuff. If you're eating right, then keep it up.

Dark is better than milk chocolate. Unless your diabetic and neither is acceptable.

if sugars are causing your caloric excess then most likely any weight gain would be fat
