find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

First, be sure that there's no medical issue that makes it harder for you, such as hypothyroidism, hypercortisolism, or certain drugs.

Next, take a serious look at what you put in your mouth. Most people who have difficulty losing weight underestimate their caloric intake. Keep a list of every meal, snack, drink, and sip that you take for 2 weeks and you might surprise yourself.

When you find out where the extra calories are coming from, identify the situations that lead to your eating them. You might start by asking yourself the question: why do I eat too much? Is something eating me deep down inside? On the practical side of things, some of the more common errors are:
(1) binge buying at the grocery store
(2) fast food addiction because of a schedule that's too busy
(3) keeping junk food available in the house
(4) eating out too often
(5) eating to the point of being full rather than to satiety
(6) succumbing to the midnight snack urges, and
(7) eating out of boredom or anxiety.

Next, look at your calorie burning (or lack thereof). Look for ways to move around more - play actively with children, take long vigorous walks, park in the most distant parking spaces, turn off the TV and internet, get an exercise partner with the same goals....

A word about weight loss gimmicks, medicines, and surgery - avoid them. They are not the answer to your problem. Gimmicks don't really work, medicines have side effects (sometimes dangerous!) and only limited efficacy (not to mention that all your weight comes roaring back just as soon as you stop them), and surgery alters your normal anatomy for the mere purpose of denying you the calories that you can just refuse to eat in the first place.

Finally, don't get discouraged. Be inspired and inspire other people. Rely on God to give you the perseverance and willpower that you need. I will pray for you.

Exercise and take in less calories. Eating less is not always easy, but if you really want to lose weight sometimes you just have to stop yourself from eating. Personally, I would always over eat and now that I have been eating less and staying away from starchy and sugary food I have been losing weight. I haven't taken up excercising yet, but I am sure if I started it would fasten the process.

Burn more calories than you take in. Every 3500 calories equals one pound.
