Well, the prejudic wasn't wedged in there by reason but it was allowed to set by lack of any questioning whatever. You have to reason with somebody to get them to question the prejudice, otherwise it just hardens.

Lack of introspection is the adhesive, reason the solvent that sets you free.

Happy hunting.

Amen.

but there is a difference between prejudice and bigotry---prejudice is a desirable thing. Sometimes. kinda like discrimination. substitute the word bigotry for the word prejudice and there is a 100% agreement here.

We can pre-judge things according to our life experiences, and we can pre-judge things in a positive way.

It's quite true. People with predjudice or bias' tend to be people without open minds and they don't always consider what they say. However, EVERYONE has some form of prejudice, no matter what. It's just some can't contain there's very well.

Good, indeed. But sadly preaching to the choir. Your average, ignorant bigot has no real grasp of the concept of "reason." And slogans, like "stay the course" for example, are only effective because the knuckle-draggers understand them (or at least think they do).

I think it's funny, and the last part is true. However, I think it can be reasoned out of them with time and a lot of work.
