GREAT question.
It's not only the baby eagle... There are many people fighting for many animals rights, including manatees.
Look what it took for legislation to get passed, for the "Amber Alert." Or many such new laws?
How did one woman (Roe vs. Wade) change the laws? Why did Amber have to die, before someone took action against child killers? There is a law of God, and there must be laws here. I do not agree with killing human babies. I am one who would vote against it. But why aren't there more of us, to overturn such? How did one woman get so much done?

Eagles are endangered. And we're not allowed to kill human babies. A woman here just got the death sentance for killing her baby minutes after it was born. Perhaps if she would've had an abortion, this all would have been avoided.

I agree...and it's not even just a baby eagle...you are not allowed to destroy the egg...you receive the same punishment because it's understood that destroying the unborn eagle is the same as killing the baby or adult eagle.
Yup...go figure...an unborn eagle is protected and unborn human being is nothing but garbage.

The law judges that there is a point in pregnancy before which the wishes of the parents take precedence over the rights of a foetus to live. You may not agree with it, but that is the law.
