I have dark brown hair, and I want to go a warmer shade of dark brown with a reddish tone, but I don't want it too red, and not a burgandy shade of red either. I just want to enhance the color, not change it drastically.

I have considered a few different shades. If anyone has ever tried any of these let me know how they look.
Garnier dark reddish brown
Garnier dark mahogany brown
Clarirol dark chestnut brown
Revlon dark mahogany brown
Revlon dark soft brown

What shade do you think is what I am trying to get? The 2 mahogany browns look completly different on the box, so I don't even know what mahogany is suppose to be!!

Dark reddish brown sounds good, but is it really red or just a subtle red tone?

I figure it is more productive to ask, than to buy them all and test each one. I can't affod a salon either.

Thanks

i love the garnier products, especially the fructis line, they leave your hair feeling soft and give it a bit of shine. it's great if you're afraid of what colouring will do to your hair. the dark reddish brown is pretty cool, especially if you have dark brown hair and dont want red hair, just a hint of it

I like L'Oreal for my red-brown dye. And don't worry too much about it being too red. Red is a dye that fades really fast. If you don't like it, it can be dyed over easily.

You should use henna! My best friend had dark, dingy brown hair, used henna, and ended up with a beautiful, warm auburn!
