yes, i wanted to get into modeling really bad. I was accepted in one in texas but its not offered in cali, which is where i am attending school. I never really had a lot of experience. can someone give a "real agency" maybe near santa barbra??

Did you try asking your agency in Texas if they have an affiliate office in LA? If not, and you want to find a legitimate agent to represent you for commercials, TV & film go to SAG.org. Use the dropdown menu on the right labeled 'resources' and choose 'agent information'. On the next screen, on the left choose 'Find a SAG franchised agent' and follow the directions.

Then you can send them your headshot, resume, and a cover letter stating that you are seeking representation and wait to see if they call you in for an interview.

It's the same process for modeling agencies, but you'll need to send your composite shots instead of just a headshot since they obviously need to see your body. Go to workingactors.com, click on actors, then 'the team', then agencies: modeling - for a list of local agencies. They aren't franchised by an organization like SAG, so you're on your own as to who is legitimate. You can always cross-reference with those listed with SAG since they are obviously legitimate or of course just send to the more well known modeling agencies such as Ford and Elite.
