My husband and I have 4 children. I was 20, 23, 26, and 38 (not a typo - she was a surprise baby conceived when I had been taking the Pill for 11 years!) when they were born. They are now 27 (28 this month), 25, 22, and 9. Our oldest just had our first grandchild, born on April 15. Finding a decent guy is a good first step. Only my oldest is married, neither of my other 2 adult children are in relationships right now. It can be frustrating, I know how they feel about finding a good person to be with. Good friends of ours got married at 38 and 39 after both felt they would never find anyone. They had their first child at 40 and 41 and 4 years later adopted a sweetheart little girl from China. Live your life, doing things you enjoy, and find happiness where you can. There is something attractive about a woman who is happy being who she is. It's natural to do so, but try not to compare yourself with others too much. (That's just my "mom" advice.)

I had my first at 20years old. I will be 21 when I have my second. I know how you feel. My cousins were only a year older and having kids when i was 17. I had a steady bf but steady was not the best way to describe our relationship. He was a jerk beyond belief and I didn't find my way away from him til I was 19 and then 2 months later i met my now hubby and started dating him. 6 months later I was pregnant and we got married. It's amazing how fast things can happen. Just hang in there. Wait for the right guy. You'll be so glad you did. Some of the best ones would turn you down if you had kids with someone else already. So just wait until you know it's right and truly stable.

p.s. Would be glad chat and maybe become friends enough to meet someday. yahoo and AIM IM:cuddleupnwiner and email: cul8ter14@hotmail.com
Even if you don't have kids the best kind of kid is one that you can give back when they are poopy or screaming. Don't get me wrong I love my son but it is always easier when you don't have to take care of them constantly.

I am 20 years old, and 26 weeks preg with my first. I will be 21 before the baby is born. I was in the same position as you are now, all of my friends had children, some were just starting, but some had 4 or 5 year old children. In my opinion, it all depends on when you are ready to have a child. It didn't matter to me that my friends were all doing it.

I got married at 20.
#1 - 21
#2 - 22
#3 - 23
#4 - 25
#5 - 27
When #6 is born, I will be 30 and that will be it for me.
I told my husband when we got married that I was going to stop having kids at 30. As it turns out, I need a hysterectomy anyway, so it all worked out.

I am 21 and pregnant with my first child. I am 35 weeks pregnant. My due date is June 13, and my birthday is June 8, so I could possibly be 22 before I have him, or he could come a little early. Who knows. But just wait until the time is right.

I had my first baby 6 months ago at 20. I have been with my boyfriend for 3 years and we have lived together for 2. I think when you're ready you know. Chances are you'll meet someone and eventually have children

A few weeks shy of 24, and my fiancee was 30. Don't rush, the time will come. I was starting to feel the same when I was your age, the time will fly and you'll be having kids before you know it. Enjoy the freedoms that come with being single and childless, there's plenty of time to be a parent later on. You're only young once!

I have a friend who was 19 when her baby girl was born. I was 18 when my son was born and I'm 19 now and will be when my 2nd son is born this June. My mother was almost 21 when she had me, 22 when she had my sister, and 23 when she had my brother. My grandmother was 24 when she had my mom, and around 19 when she had my uncle. My cousin's mother was 24 when she had my cousin, 27 when she had my cousin's sister, and around 35 when she had my cousin's brother.

I was 18 with the first, 21 with the second and 25 with the third. I'm no 26 and wouldn't change a thing.
PLEASE wait til you're married to have a baby. You need the support of a good man, trust me!
